The Role of the Photographer

Another reason to hire a professional wedding photographer in Goring-by-sea, rather than trusting a family member or a friend with the task, is it they will be less distracted. The role of the professional photographer is very clearly defined, whereas a family member will likely want to get involved in the celebrations where possible.

They wonít miss that precious moment whilst chatting with wedding guests, having a beer or grabbing a slice of cake. Theyíll be concentrating on the job in hand, candidly capturing some of the best images they can for the duration of the event.

Another thing to consider is that guests are more likely to respect photoshoots when theyíre aware that the photographers are paid professionals. Photoshoots taken by a relative tend to be less organised and taken less seriously than those arranged by professionals.

Skill with Different Styles of Photography

In order to get a specific photographic style, you need a professional photographer whose style matches what youíre looking for. The majority of amateur photographers would stare blankly if asked to tell you the difference between photojournalistic, traditional, fine art, or contemporary photographic styles.

Are you certain that theyíre going to be able to provide you with the photos that you dream of? In many cases, they will not have the skills to do so. Take some time to consider what you want and then ensure that the photographer you use is able to capture the style that you want. Choose a professional who can immediately understand your style ideas when you explain them.

A Reliable and Communicative Professional

There are numerous other factors that contribute to a professional photographer being a better choice than an amateur photographer or enthusiast. Any wedding day has tough moments to overcome, whether it is getting a large group together while meeting a deadline with a photoshoot in session and a professional brings a mass of experience to help deal with this.

A professional will be able to carry the wedding party along and subtly communicate where your guests need to be. Getting the perfect picture often involves striking a balance between being distant, but also being encouraging and supportive, humorous and amateurs rarely have the skills to do it.

Professional Wedding Photographers Are a Better Choice

Thereís no person youíll be spending more time with on your wedding day than your photographer. The wedding photographer will take preamble shots at the start of the day, shots at the venue, pictures at the reception and perhaps even pictures as you leave the venue at the end of the day.

Your wedding photographer is always near you, having been engaged to capture the emotion and style of your day in its entirety. Good wedding photographers will only be noticed when they need to organise a photo session. Your photographer will notice if there are untucked shirts or jackets missing in photos, as they will have a keen eye for every detail.

They will be there to inform you of this and help you try to fix it. Your wedding planner will spend far less time with you during the day in Goring-by-sea than your photographer will. The photographer will ensure that the wedding party are at the right place at the right time and calm everyone throughout any anxious or emotional moments.

How many hours of shooting in Goring-by-sea

Generally, each assignment the photographer takes will be priced up largely based on the anticipated hours it will take. Each wedding is individual, with exact timings that differ and ad hoc things that happened during the day and so we work a little differently on wedding packages in order to remain flexible.

If you have looked around already, then you probably know that photographers frequently have different packages that they offer such as a ëPlatinumí, ëgoldí, ëSilverí and a ëBronzeí package in Goring-by-sea. This way of doing things can get over complicated and even more so when additional options and extras are added to the mix. I find it works better to have a set price for a full day’s coverage. I don’t quibble over the extra hour we were there, due to late starts etc. We know you don’t want to have an extra hour billed after the event, just because your schedule fell behind and the eight hours you paid for in the ëSilver packageí didn’t cover the full day. If your wedding destination is a long way away, weíll need to negotiate expenses for accommodation, flights, fuel and food.

What are the differences between all these different styles?

Fine Art Photography

Photojournalistic specialists and fine art photographers donít normally tend to shoot many purely traditional images. Instead, they use an artistic approach to capture elements, people and events, with a subtle use of effective lighting techniques. The beautifully composed photos that fine art photographers take in Goring-by-sea tend to have an artistic and dramatic quality and they often apply striking filters and convert images to black and white.

Vintage Style Photography

The diversity and popularity of vintage photo filters has helped to drive this style of photography. The number of weddings that are being photographed with a vintage wedding theme in mind, seems to be steadily growing. Something about old, timeless photographs appeals to people, maybe itís the feeling of nostalgia which this style of photography evokes. Through the use of various methods, such as colour filters used in this style, professional photographers are able to transform pretty standard looking images into works of art.

Traditional or Classical

In traditional or classical photography, each moment is captured as if it staged and a portrait, rather than spontaneous and ad hoc as they might seem. Although the photographs won’t feel overly posed or artificial, you probably won’t get many action shots in the wedding album. Traditional photographers will want to capture precious moments and formalities with artistic style and integrity and will look for shots that will work using that style during the wedding ceremony.

Photojournalistic or Reportage

Photojournalism looks to record moments on camera, rather than orchestrating specific staged shots. As always, the necessary formal shots will be taken, as well as a number of spontaneous happy shots group shots during the day. The photo journalistic photographer is all about immortalizing the spontaneous reactions and emotions of the day as they happen, rather than orchestrating and staging their images.

Black and White (Monochrome)

This style is excellent for timeless, classical, emotion-packed photographs. Although many clients prefer colour photographs, a large number also appreciate the way that removing colour can enhance the mood captured in images. Preference is what matters here. By using monochrome techniques, you can really bring out the essence of the subject of a photograph, although not everyone likes this style. Removing the colour from images and creating black and white can evoke a certain ambience within photographs that colour sometimes lacks.

Colour Popped and HDR Techniques

When shooting pictures, this photography technique requires attention to detail and the ability to consider various different elements and this complexity continues into the editing stage. The users of HDR and colour popped photography techniques, carefully choose the scenes they shoot in order to create images that are striking, with vibrant colours which draw the viewersí attention to a particular area of the image.
