Your wedding photos will capture cherished memories that you can turn to time and time again. The day after your wedding in Three-Cups-Corner, your wedding dress will be packed away, your shoes boxed up, the flowers will wither and you’ll be finishing off the last crumbs of the wedding cake. but your wedding photographs will forever be yours to share on social media, look at during those quiet moments and enjoy with your loved ones, so take them seriously and make sure that you commission talented professionals!

Why hire a professional photographer for your wedding?

If your wedding is coming up soon then you have probably planned most of the necessities. You’ve planned the catering side of things, chosen the cake and booked the venue. Your wedding dress is getting its final alterations, your flowers are all on order and the decorations and table centrepieces are all in hand.

You now intend to plan the best way to ensure that the photographs do complete justice to your special day. Perhaps you’ve spoken to your nephew about taking the photographs at your wedding.

The money you save on the photographs could be used to cover other wedding expenses. This is a route that has been tried by many, but in truth has worked for very few.

A professional wedding photographer is likely to achieve a much higher quality result

The benefits of hiring a professional photographer are far greater than the cost savings you get when you hire an amateur photographer! Remember, the glances, the smiles and the connections that happen at a wedding are subtle and to capture them photographically is a skill.

The benefits of having an expert wedding photographer

The photography equipment and software that a professional wedding photographer you hire in Three-Cups-Corner will use will ensure that you get the best quality images possible.

A professional wedding photographer in Three-Cups-Corner will be able to take great pictures, using a combination of skill, the latest digital equipment and software, giving you a superb finished product.

The quality of the photographs is determined by far more than just the camera that is taking them. The quality of the cameras on smartphones these days makes it very tempting to turn to them for wedding photography. This is a big mistake. Everyone desires photographs that are skillfully composed and expertly captured for their wedding day. Let’s delve deeper into what a professional wedding photographer in Three-Cups-Corner can bring to your wedding day and how they add value.

Knowledge with the latest camera equipment and the use of it in varying situations. A photographer won’t be able to do the best job possible if they don’t have the lighting options or lenses they need, or the skill to use them. Professional wedding photographers normally bring to the table a lot more skill, knowledge and equipment that they can use. DSLR cameras are accessible to most amateurs, but their full potential is only really realised in the hands of experienced pros. The skill of the person taking the photos is highly important, but they also need the right equipment to produce top results. What you need to get the best wedding photography experience is high end, appropriate camera equipment and a seasoned wedding photography professional who knows how to use it to its full potential. This includes choosing the right equipment and camera settings for indoor and outdoor shots at the venue and the changing conditions at both.

The Role the Photographer Plays

One other very good reason to hire a professional wedding photographer in Three-Cups-Corner, instead of using a relative, is that theyíre less likely to become distracted. When you pay a professional photographer, theyíre there to do a job, whereas a family member is more likely to be looking to enjoy the celebrations.

They wonít miss that precious moment whilst chatting with wedding guests, having a beer or grabbing a slice of cake. They will be concentrating on the job of getting the best possible pictures they can for your wedding.

Wedding guests are also far more likely to respond to a professional, paid wedding photographer than they would be to a relative barking orders. If a relative is trying to organise a photo session, it might end up far less organised than if a professional were doing it.

The Photography Style

If you have in mind a particular photographic style, then you should hire a professional that is an expert in that area or style. The majority of amateur photographers would stare blankly if asked to tell you the difference between photojournalistic, traditional, fine art, or contemporary photographic styles.

Are you certain that theyíre going to be able to provide you with the photos that you dream of? Often, this is not the case. Take some time to consider what you want and then ensure that the photographer you use is able to capture the style that you want. Make sure that you hire a wedding photographer who can quickly comprehend exactly what it is you want to achieve.

A Great Communicator and Reliable, too

There are still even more reasons why you should choose a professional photographer in Three-Cups-Corner over an enthusiast or amateur friend or relative. Any wedding day has tough moments to overcome, whether it is getting a large group together while meeting a deadline with a photoshoot in session and a professional brings a mass of experience to help deal with this.

A professional will be able to carry the wedding party along and subtly communicate where your guests need to be. They will have a smooth touch, using body language, cues and verbal commands to get things done while keeping the positive atmosphere of your big day in Three-Cups-Corner. Maintaining a balance between holding a distance as a photographer but getting involved to encourage people is a very difficult balance to strike and very few amateurs have the experience to do it.

You Get More with Professional Wedding Photographers

Thereís no person youíll be spending more time with on your wedding day than your photographer. The wedding photographer will take the initial shots during the day as you get ready and even travel to the church and will stay with you throughout the day and maybe until you leave for home or honeymoon.

You wedding photographer has been hired to capture every special moment of the day, whilst staying in the background unnoticed and will do that from start to end. If a photographer knows what theyíre doing, they wonít be noticed throughout the day. Your photographer will notice if there are untucked shirts or jackets missing in photos, as they will have a keen eye for every detail.

Their detailed focus will help you fix any little issues and get better photos. The planner of your wedding will be with you for far less of the day in Three-Cups-Corner than your photographer will. Your photographer will calm emotions when they heighten and ensure that people get to the right place at the right time.

Patience Is the Key

Itís really important that you hire a wedding photographer that puts you at ease. Consider the amount of time you will spend with the person on one of the most important days of your life. You donít want to spend all that time second-guessing your decision.

The professional photographer will have to be technically skilled, with an added mix of patience, experience and understanding. With the camera, they need to ensure that you and your personality shines through on your wedding day in Three-Cups-Corner. An experienced professional will recognise that things rarely go exactly according to plan and will remain calm and effective throughout. An expert wedding photographer is flexible and goes with the flow of the event, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

What You Can Expect from a Wedding Photographer?

Professional Conduct and Prompt Time Keeping

Professionalism comes naturally if you hire someone based on their reputation and passion. Your wedding photographer should remain polite and courteous at all times, demonstrating a great attitude, good time keeping for every aspect of the schedule and remaining suitably attired throughout the day. By arriving early your wedding photographer will be able to scout the location and choose some excellent vantage points, although they will probably have visited your key event locations prior to the big day.

Rehearsing for the Wedding Day (The day before)

If you plan to have a church ceremony, then itís customary to have a rehearsal a day or a week before. The wedding photographer ask to come to the wedding day rehearsal to scout the location and to find out from the Vicar where they should be standing throughout the service. The registrar will normally be consulted on the day of the wedding with civil ceremonies, in order for the wedding photographer to get the information they need.

Wedding Day (The big day)

Your photographer will arrive at the agreed time to capture the bridal presentations. He will remain with you for the whole day, without interrupting, obstructing or in any way affecting the flow of the day. Jeff Woodall photography prides itself on its ability to remain unobtrusive but to always be available for questions and to keep spirits high, ensuring that no beautifully precious moment is lost. Jeff Woodall photography prides itself on its ability to remain unobtrusive but to always be available for questions and to keep spirits high, ensuring that no beautifully precious moment is lost.

At some point in the night, often after the first dance, your wedding photographer will check with you to find out if thereís anything else you would like to be pictured. The photographer will start to backup the photos if you are happy that they have captured all the moments you need. Jeff Woodall photography will keep all photos backed up on a storage device until they have been through the editing suite process and are delivered to your satisfaction. We fully understand that your photographs are precious and need to be looked after.

The Editing of Wedding Photographs

Editing the images is an important part of preparing your wedding photography package, completed in the days after the wedding event in Three-Cups-Corner. To tell the story of the wedding day the pictures need to capture the moments and so the first stage is going through all the photos and picking the best ones. A light edit is carried out on the images to ensure that it is subtle and natural.

The images that are captured by Jeff Woodall photography are always crisp and sharp. During post processing, the images undergo some minor editing. They are colour balanced and cropped. Some of the pictures may be converted to monochrome and other style filters may be applied to further enhance the overall effects of your images.

The images are then exported and uploaded to an online password protected gallery, ready to be viewed by you, your friends and family as you wish. You will also be given all high resolution images on a USB stick. If you want to share access to your wedding photos on your own online gallery, weíll give you instructions on how to do so, as well as providing a high-definition backup of all your photos on a USB stick.

After care

We know that you may want to put your photos in wedding photo books or maybe looking for a special wedding album and Jeff Woodall photography will be available to discuss how best to present your images after the wedding. You probably have decided beforehand whether you wish to opt for a digital photo book album, the styles and colours etc., but it won’t be a short time after the ceremony that you decide which images you would like it to contain.

Your photographer will guide you through how many photos to choose and how best to tell the story and we’ll probably suggest around 80 photos. Your photographer then begins the design work to create your stunning album.

The shoot duration in Three-Cups-Corner

Each assignment a photographer takes is normally broken down into a number of hours. At Jeff Woodall photography this is normally the way we price up events and portraits, but with weddings the process has been simplified because we understand that each day is completely different, timings are personal and we need to be flexible to capture the flow of your wedding events.

If you have looked around already, then you probably know that photographers frequently have different packages that they offer such as a ëPlatinumí, ëgoldí, ëSilverí and a ëBronzeí package in Three-Cups-Corner. When you start adding extra options, wedding album packages, design and other things it can get quite complicated. When you choose me, you get a fixed price for the day, with no hidden extras. Obviously, I’m not going to give hours of my time for free, but I’m happy to arrive early to get some shots, or stay after the first dance if there’s extra photos that need to be captured. We know you don’t want to have an extra hour billed after the event, just because your schedule fell behind and the eight hours you paid for in the ëSilver packageí didn’t cover the full day. For wedding ceremonies that involves travelling, the travel expenses for flights, fuel, food, refreshments and accommodation would need to be subject to negotiation with the client.

Wedding photography Services List

Below is a summary list of wedding photography services :

How Wedding Styles Really Differ

Fine Art Photography

Photojournalistic specialists and fine art photographers donít normally tend to shoot many purely traditional images. They prefer to take an artistic view and capture elements, events and people with that mindset, always looking for dramatic lighting and backgrounds. Fine Art photographers in Three-Cups-Corner have a flair for the dramatic and always looking for the artistic side when composing and staging their photos, often using different filters, including black and white.

Vintage Style Photography

This style of photography was borne partly from the popularity of vintage photo filters. The number of weddings that are being photographed with a vintage wedding theme in mind, seems to be steadily growing. Photographs of the Vintage style are timeless, old and has the power to stir emotions in people, which is perhaps why the style has become so appealing. The use of colour filters and lighting can help to transform images into works of art during the process of capturing images of a vintage theme in Three-Cups-Corner.

Traditional or Classical

In traditional or classical photography, many shots are treated as a posed portraits, sometimes including shots you may think of as candid. You’re less likely to get action shots with this type of photography, although every moment will be captured in a natural way that doesn’t feel forced or posed. The goal of photographers who prefer the traditional style is to take pictures that reflect the artistry and dignity of the wedding ceremony, with stunning lighting techniques.

Photojournalistic or Reportage

This style involves the recording of events as opposed to the staging of them. Group shots will be taken as required, as well as candid and spontaneous images. There are few formal ëgrip and griní roundups and guests smiling for the shot. Photojournalistic photographers prefer to capture spontaneous emotions and reactions, often by the use of close ups and candid techniques, they have a general philosophy of freezing that authentic moment in time, rather than creating orchestrated poses and scenes.

Black and White (Monochrome)

The black and white style is excellent for creating nostalgic and timeless photographs. Black-and-white photos are appreciated by many for their ability to enhance the mood and atmosphere of the scene being depicted. Preference is what matters here. Some people really don’t like monochrome images, but black and white photographs can tend to enhance the feeling of atmosphere when done well, helping to focus attention on the subjects of the images. Removing the colour from images and creating black and white can evoke a certain ambience within photographs that colour sometimes lacks.

Colour Popped and HDR Techniques

Attention to detail during the shoot and excellent editing skills are required for this type of photography technique. The users of HDR and colour popped photography techniques, carefully choose the scenes they shoot in order to create images that are striking, with vibrant colours which draw the viewersí attention to a particular area of the image.
