Here Are the Reasons Why the Wedding Photography Is Vital
Hiring a wedding photographer might not be at the top of your list when it comes to planning for your big day in Lewes.
Your wedding photography does however, deserve some of your time. You need to set a budget that is sufficient for the task and get your photographer booked as far in advance as possible. It is vitally important that you hire a wedding photographer you can trust to capture the day with skill and expertise. Your wedding album will tell a story that you can share with your family and your friends and even your future grandchildren.
The photos of your wedding will rekindle memories as you look through them over and over again. When your wedding day is over, your bridal shoes and gown will go into storage, the flowers will wither and be cleared away and the wedding cake will have been eaten. but importance needs to be placed on your wedding images, because they will be with you forever, to browse through and perfectly recapture those emotions from your wedding day.
Why you should hire a pro-photographer for your wedding day.
If your wedding is coming up soon then you have probably planned most of the necessities. You’ve planned the catering side of things, chosen the cake and booked the venue. You’ve tried on and love your wedding dress and have chosen table decorations and flowers.
You are now thinking about capturing the precious memories of your big day as photographic images. Maybe you’ve thought about asking a relative or friend, who is an amateur photographer to take on the responsibility.
The savings you make on the wedding photography costs could be handy in other areas. This is certainly not the way to go.
A professional wedding photographer should take your photos
The benefits you get when you hire a photographer with significant experience of weddings are much greater than the monetary savings you’ll make when you get the photos taken for free. Remember, the glances, the smiles and the connections that happen at a wedding are subtle and to capture them photographically is a skill.
The benefits of having a professional wedding photographer
The photography equipment and software that a professional wedding photographer you hire will ensure that you get the best quality images possible.
As well as a wealth of knowledge and experience, wedding photographers have access to premium photography equipment and software to enable them to capture the best wedding pictures possible.
The cameras are just part of the equation when it comes to taking fantastic photographs. Camera phones are pretty amazing these days and many people are tempted to try and save money by using them for their wedding photos. This could probably be one of the biggest mistakes you make. Every wedding day deserves photographs that are captured skillfully, in the style of your choosing. Let’s delve deeper into what a professional wedding photographer in Lewes can bring to your wedding day and how they add value.
Camera equipment expertise, as well as being able to deal with indoor and outdoor lighting. A photographer’s resultant images will not be as impressive as they could be if they don’t have a variety of camera lenses and the knowledge and skills to use them, together with various lighting options. Professional wedding photographers are better, not just because of their skill and experience, but also the equipment that they use. DSLR cameras are accessible to most amateurs, but their full potential is only really realised in the hands of experienced pros. The skill of the person taking the photos is highly important, but they also need the right equipment to produce top results. In order to get your dream photos, you need high end camera equipment and a wedding photographer with the experience, talent and knowledge to use it appropriately to its full potential. The lighting available at your venue, in the church and outside the church or in any other outdoor setting will vay markedly; it takes skill and appreciation to consistently take great photos in different lighting situations.

The Role the Photographer Plays
Another very good reason to engage the services of a professional wedding photographer is that they’re going to be far less likely to become distracted than a family member or relative charged with capturing the day’s event. When you pay a professional photographer, they’re there to do a job, whereas a family member is more likely to be looking to enjoy the celebrations.
A photographer won’t be off drinking alcohol or eating cake when they should be capturing an important shot. They will be fully concentrating on the job, taking every opportunity to capture the special moments of your wedding day, whilst keeping it very low key.
Wedding shoots also tend to go much better when guests are engaging with paid, professional photographers. If you have a member of your family taking photos of everyone, guests might not take the photo sessions so seriously.
The Photographic Style
In order to get a specific photographic style, you need a professional photographer whose style matches what you’re looking for. If you want to ask an amateur photographer, the chances are that they’re not familiar with the differences between traditional, contemporary, fine art, or photojournalistic styles.
Can an amateur photographer capture photos the way you want them? Often, they wonít be able to. Take some time to consider the photography styles you want to make sure that the wedding photographer you hire is in sync with you. Once you have a style in mind, hire a photographer that can picture what it is you want.
Reliability and Communication
There are lots of other reasons to choose a professional wedding photographer rather than choosing a relative, friend or enthusiast to take your photos. You shouldnít underestimate the wealth of experience the professional brings in dealing with the various challenges of the big day.
A professional wedding photographer will be able to communicate effectively and persuasively with guests to ensure they are where they need to be. They will use their voice and body language to encourage people to where they need to be, persuasively getting things done and enhancing rather than detracting from the celebration of your special day in Lewes. Amateur photographers find it incredibly difficult to maintain the necessary distance, humour, intimacy and support along with effectively communicating to get the perfect shot.
Professional Wedding Photographers Provide More
Thereís no person youíll be spending more time with on your wedding day than your photographer. The wedding photographer will take the initial shots during the day as you get ready and even travel to the church and will stay with you throughout the day and maybe until you leave for home or honeymoon.
From the start of the day to the end of the day, your wedding photographer will be around you, capturing every special moment without intruding on your day. If a photographer knows what they’re doing, they won’t be noticed throughout the day. The photographer will notice if a picture is being spoiled by a lipstick stain on a collar, or a wonky handkerchief.
Their detailed focus will help you fix any little issues and get better photos. Your photographer will be your shadow all day in Lewes, not your wedding planner. The photographer will help the wedding party and guests be where they need to be and help to calm any emotions.
Patience
Itís really important that you hire a wedding photographer that puts you at ease. Consider the amount of time you will spend with the person on one of the most important days of your life. You want to be happy that you made the right decision.
The professional photographer must have a great deal of patience, empathy, technical skill and great communication skills. Your personality needs to be captured through the lens and itís their job to help you to be at ease throughout the day in Lewes. A professional will remain calm and in control even when things don’t always go exactly to plan. An expert wedding photographer will adapt to the needs of the day and remain professional at all times.
What to Expect from Your Wedding Photographer?

Wedding Rehearsals
If you plan to have a church ceremony, then it’s customary to have a rehearsal a day or a week before. The wedding photographer ask to come to the wedding day rehearsal to scout the location and to find out from the Vicar where they should be standing throughout the service. If you choose to have a civil ceremony, then it will most likely be a chat with a registrar on the day of the wedding.

Number of hours for the shoot in Lewes
Typically, a photographer will work out pricing based on the number of hours they need to put into any assignment. Each wedding is individual, with exact timings that differ and ad hoc things that happened during the day and so we work a little differently on wedding packages in order to remain flexible.
If you have looked around already, then you probably know that photographers frequently have different packages that they offer such as a Platinum, Gold, Silver and a Bronze package in Lewes. What exactly gets delivered becomes complicated, especially in those cases where additional options are added to these package deals. When you choose me, you get a fixed price for the day, with no hidden extras. Iím not a clock watcher and won’t mind doing an extra hour or so. We want pricing to be clear and transparent and don’t want to have to bill you for extra hours after the event, because things ran on and your Silver package didn’t cover it. In cases where weddings are overseas, or in remote locations, there would need to be some negotiation regarding fuel or flights, food and accommodation.

A Look at the Differences in Styles
Fine Art Photography
Photojournalistic specialists and fine art photographers don’t normally tend to shoot many purely traditional images. Rather, their pictures are captured through an artistic appreciation of events, elements and people, accented with the use of stunning lighting. Fine Art photographers in Lewes have a flair for the dramatic and always looking for the artistic side when composing and staging their photos, often using different filters, including black and white.
Vintage Style Photography
Vintage photo filters have become quite popular over the last decade and has resulted in more demand for this style of photography. The number of weddings that are being photographed with a vintage wedding theme in mind, seems to be steadily growing. With vintage images there is certainly a timeless quality that can stir nostalgic emotion, which may be the cause of such an increase in the appeal of this artistic style. Colour filters together with other post processing methods have the capacity to translate rather plain images into artistic pieces and photographers in Lewes who have a keen eye in this area, can work wonders with wedding photographs.
Traditional or Classical
Seemingly spontaneous and ad hoc moments often tend to actually be taken as posed portraits with traditional or classical photography. Although the photographs won’t feel overly posed or artificial, you probably won’t get many action shots in the wedding album. The aim of traditional photography is to capture moments with dignity and artistry, using many posed shots, including many formal images, under a range of lighting options.
Photojournalistic or Reportage
Similar to a documentary style, photojournalism photography is about recording the event, rather than orchestrating them. Group shots will be taken as required, as well as candid and spontaneous images. There are few formal ëgrip and griní roundups and guests smiling for the shot. The photojournalistic wedding photographer tells the story of the day, using a mix of close-up and candid shots, showing spontaneous reaction and recording the atmosphere of the event , rather than orchestrating the scenes.
Black and White (Monochrome)
Black and White photographs often create a timeless and classic look. Colour images are preferred by some clients, while some appreciate how the mood of their photos can be enhanced by the desaturation of colours. Everyone has a different preference. Some people really don’t like monochrome images, but black and white photographs can tend to enhance the feeling of atmosphere when done well, helping to focus attention on the subjects of the images. Black and white images can be effective in portraying an atmospheric, or nostalgic and timeless feel, that is sometimes elusive in the colour version.
Colour Popped and HDR Techniques
When shooting photographs and using this photo technique, each shot is rather complex with lots of elements to consider and the editing process is equally detailed. The users of HDR and colour popped photography techniques, carefully choose the scenes they shoot in order to create images that are striking, with vibrant colours which draw the viewersí attention to a particular area of the image.
