Your wedding album will tell a story that you can share with your family and your friends and even your future grandchildren.

Why you should hire a pro-Castle Wedding Photographer
If your wedding day is just around the corner, then you have probably planned most of what you need to plan. Catering for the event is in hand, the wedding cake is chosen and the wedding venue is all booked. You’ve tried on and love your wedding dress and have chosen table decorations and flowers.
The castle wedding photographs are next on the list. Perhaps you’re considering asking your nephew to do it since he’s an amateur photographer.
That would enable you to divert some of your budget to other areas of the wedding. This is definitely a path you should avoid.
Your wedding photos should be entrusted to a professional Castle Wedding Photographer
The benefits of hiring a professional castle wedding photographer are far greater than the cost savings you get when you hire an amateur photographer! Remember, the glances, the smiles and the connections that happen at a wedding are subtle and to capture them photographically is a skill.
The benefits of having an expert Castle Wedding Photographer
Having hired a professional Castle Wedding Photographer in Sussex, you are assured of the highest quality images, created and edited using the best expertise, cameras and photo editing software.
The professional Castle Wedding Photographer you hire in Sussex will be able to capture fantastic images with their skill, state-of-the-art cameras and equipment and edited to a superb standard using the latest software.
The physical equipment such as cameras, is just part of the equation in terms of capturing the best photographic images. But for many, who perceive that smartphone cameras are amazing, it is really tempting to try and cut costs on your wedding photography. Many have found this to be a big mistake. Everyone desires photographs that are skillfully composed and expertly captured for their wedding day. We’ll take a more in depth look now at what you get when you hire a professional Castle Wedding Photographer in Sussex, which adds that extra value and makes it worth your while.
Camera equipment expertise, as well as being able to deal with indoor and outdoor lighting. The photographerís performance will be impaired by not having a variety of lenses, lighting options and also by not being skilled in their use. Professional Castle Wedding Photographers are better, not just because of their skill and experience, but also the equipment that they use. Experienced professionals can get the most out of a DSLR camera due to their experience and skill, although anyone can take a picture with one. The person using the equipment and the quality of equipment being used are equally important. The ideal situation is that you have an expert photographer who can use top of the range equipment to its full potential. The lighting available at your venue, in the church and outside the church or in any other outdoor setting will vay markedly; it takes skill and appreciation to consistently take great photos in different lighting situations.

The Role the Castle Wedding Photographer Plays
One other very good reason to hire a professional Castle Wedding Photographer in Sussex, instead of using a relative, is that theyíre less likely to become distracted. The professional photographer wonít be striving to enjoy the day and become part of the celebration, like a family member would want to do.
A professional castle wedding photographer won’t be tempted to chat with guests, grab a quick beer, or be first in line for cake when they should be taking an important shot. They will be fully concentrating on the job, taking every opportunity to capture the special moments of your wedding day, whilst keeping it very low key.
Wedding shoots also tend to go much better when guests are engaging with paid, professional castle wedding photographers. When family members organise a photo session, or an ad hoc photo opportunity, thereís a different dynamic to when a photographer sets up a professional shoot.
The Style of the Castle Wedding Photography
If you have in mind a particular photographic castle wedding style, then you should hire a castle wedding professional that is an expert in that area or style. Not many amateurs are familiar with the differences between photojournalistic, fine art, traditional or contemporary styles.
Can an amateur photographer capture photos the way you want them? Often, they wonít be able to. Have a long think about this and make sure your Castle Wedding Photographerís style is in sync with yours. Go with a professional photographer who can quickly understand what it is you are trying to achieve.
A Reliable and Communicative Professional
A professional photographer is normally a much better choice than an amateur photographer or enthusiast and weíve already touched on a few other reasons so far. Itís easy to underestimate the degree of experience a professional brings to the day and how they can contribute to it going smoothly, in spite of the various inevitable challenges.
A professional Castle Wedding Photographer will have the communication skills to organise groups, move people and find out exactly what you want throughout the day. They will be able to use signals and body language, as well as their voice, to get people where they need to be in a pleasant way, enhancing the atmosphere of your celebration in Sussex. Amateur photographers, no matter how hard they try, will find it hard to identify the right approach to photo sessions, being distant to a degree, professional, humorous, encouraging and supporting guests through the process, in order to capture those memorable shots.
Professional Castle Wedding Photographers Are a Better Choice
There arenít many people that you will spend more time on your wedding day than your Castle Wedding Photographer. The Castle Wedding Photographer will take the initial shots during the day as you get ready and even travel to the church and will stay with you throughout the day and maybe until you leave for home or honeymoon.
You Castle Wedding Photographer has been hired to capture every special moment of the day, whilst staying in the background unnoticed and will do that from start to end. If a photographer knows what theyíre doing, they wonít be noticed throughout the day. The photographer will notice if a picture is being spoiled by a lipstick stain on a collar, or a wonky handkerchief.
They will be there to inform you of this and help you try to fix it. Your photographer will be your shadow all day in Sussex, not your wedding planner. The photographer will help the wedding party and guests be where they need to be and help to calm any emotions.
Patience Is the Key
As a wedding couple, you should engage the services of a Castle Wedding Photographer that helps you feel comfortable. Think about the number of hours you will be with this one person on your special day. The person you have decided on needs to be the right one.
The professional photographer you choose should have an excellent skill set; great technically, the patience of a saint, the persuasive skills of a sales person and the empathetic and emotional skills of a counsellor. They need to flow through the day in Sussex with you, capturing the best of your personality through the lens. A professional will remain calm and in control even when things donít always go exactly to plan. An experienced Castle Wedding Photographer will flow with the event and will be quick to adapt, always remaining professional.
Your Castle Wedding Photographer and What to Expect?
For most people, the wedding day will be the first time they find themselves in front of a professional photographerís camera lens. This can cause anxiety, especially if you are camera shy or tend to look awkward in photographs.
If you have done your homework by selecting a professional Castle Wedding Photographer in Sussex that matches your style, there are a few things that a Castle Wedding Photographer will deliver to mark a satisfactory service.

Professional Conduct and Prompt Time Keeping
Professionalism will shine through during your research into a photographer, while checking out their reputation, their enthusiasm for photography and their portfolio itself. You want your Castle Wedding Photographer to get on with the guests, to have an excellent attitude towards time keeping and to dress in a suitable manner for your wedding. Your Castle Wedding Photographer should arrive before they need to, so that they can get a feel for the venues and the best places to get the shots that you desire.
The Wedding Rehearsal on the Day Before the Wedding
Church weddings tend to have a rehearsal date within a week of the main event. The Castle Wedding Photographer ask to come to the wedding day rehearsal to scout the location and to find out from the Vicar where they should be standing throughout the service. If you choose to have a civil ceremony, then it will most likely be a chat with a registrar on the day of the wedding in Sussex.
The Big Day – the Wedding
Your photographer will arrive at the agreed time to capture the bridal presentations. He will stay with you for the entire day and will mirror you through the day without interrupting. The goal at Jeff Woodall photography is to ensure that every precious moment is captured, but to remain unobtrusive and in the background until such a time as you have questions to answer, or you need some help. Jeff Woodall photographyís ethos is to be very subtle, at staying in the background without interrupting the day, but being available to keep spirits high and answer any difficult questions, making sure that every single memory is captured in digital format.
At some point in the night, often after the first dance, your Castle Wedding Photographer will check with you to find out if thereís anything else you would like to be pictured. If you decide to call it a day, the photographer will start their backup process. Every photo will be stored on a reliable backup storage device and kept safe until such a time as the photos have been through the full editing process and have been delivered to you to your satisfaction. We understand just how precious your photographs are to you.
The Castle Wedding Photo Editing Stage
Editing is a large part of the work and will be done in the days following the castle wedding in Sussex. The photographs need to tell the story of the wedding day and so the first stage is going through all the pictures and selecting the best ones. A light edit is carried out on the images to ensure that it is subtle and natural.
The images provided to clients by Jeff Woodall photography are always high resolution. During post processing, the images undergo some minor editing. They are colour balanced and cropped. To achieve other effects, subtle style filters may be applied to some of your wedding images and some may be converted to monochrome.
The photos are then ready to be exported from the photo editing suite into an online password protected gallery, as well as uploaded to a USB stick and delivered to you, ready for sharing on social media and for printing. Weíll provide you with all the instructions you need for how to access the online gallery and how to share it with your family and friends and we’ll also send you the USB stick with easy to use instructions on how to share your photos online.
After care
Jeff Woodall photography will always be on hand, accessible to talk about castle wedding photo album options and the design of wedding photo books if you so require them. You probably have decided beforehand whether you wish to opt for a digital photo book album, the styles and colours etc., but it won’t be a short time after the ceremony that you decide which images you would like it to contain.
Typically the photographer will ask you to choose 80 or so images. Your photographer then goes about the task of designing the album.
What is included in a castle wedding photography package in Sussex?
What do you get when you choose a castle wedding photography package
Here is a summary of what you will typically find in a castle wedding photography package. Some of the items you’ll need to make some careful decisions about, whereas others take care of themselves. How many events you want photographed.
You’ll probably want the photographer for the wedding ceremony and some or all of the after-party but itís worth thinking about whether you want photos from the bridal shower and the engagement party too. Some of the events the photographer will almost certainly be at, include the wedding ceremony and the after party, but you need to decide whether he attends the bridal shower, the engagement party and how long he stays on during the after party. You need to communicate the dates and times of events with the photographer.

How much time you want for the shoot in Sussex
Generally, a castle wedding photographer will use time as one of the main methods to price an assignment. Each wedding is individual, with exact timings that differ and ad hoc things that happened during the day and so we work a little differently on wedding packages in order to remain flexible.
You are probably familiar with photographers offering ëPlatinumí, ëGoldí, ëSilverí and ëBronzeí wedding packages in Sussex. When you start adding extra options, wedding album packages, design and other things it can get quite complicated. I find it works better to have a set price for a full day’s coverage. Obviously, I’m not going to give hours of my time for free, but I’m happy to arrive early to get some shots, or stay after the first dance if there’s extra photos that need to be captured. The last thing you want to hear after that, is that you have been billed for an extra hour, as you only paid for the ëSilverí package of eight hours and for various reasons things ran late. In cases where weddings are overseas, or in remote locations, there would need to be some negotiation regarding fuel or flights, food and accommodation.

A Look at the Differences in Styles
Fine Art Photography
Fine art photographers normally steer clear of too many traditional shots, in the same way that photojournalistic photographers do. Rather, their pictures are captured through an artistic appreciation of events, elements and people, accented with the use of stunning lighting. Typically, a fine art photographer in Sussex is highly skilled at creating and staging photos that are artistic and beautifully full of drama, applying filters to photos during editing, including often using monochrome conversions.
Vintage Style Photography
Vintage photography is a style that has evolved and become increasingly more popular of late, helped by the emergence of vintage style filters. The market for couples who want vintage style weddings and photography has become quite large. This style of photography can evoke feelings of nostalgia and the old and timeless nature of that style really seems to appeal to people. Through the use of various methods, such as colour filters used in this style, professional photographers are able to transform pretty standard looking images into works of art.
Traditional or Classical
In traditional or classical photography, many shots are treated as a posed portraits, sometimes including shots you may think of as candid. You’re less likely to get action shots with this type of photography, although every moment will be captured in a natural way that doesn’t feel forced or posed. Traditional photographers will want to capture precious moments and formalities with artistic style and integrity and will look for shots that will work using that style during the wedding ceremony.
Photojournalistic or Reportage
Photojournalism photography focuses on the actual moments that happen, rather than staging them. As always, the necessary formal shots will be taken, as well as a number of spontaneous happy shots group shots during the day. The photo journalistic photographer is all about immortalizing the spontaneous reactions and emotions of the day as they happen, rather than orchestrating and staging their images.
Black and White (Monochrome)
This style is excellent for timeless, classical, emotion-packed photographs. Although many clients prefer colour photographs, a large number also appreciate the way that removing colour can enhance the mood captured in images. It’s all about preference. Some people really don\’t like monochrome images, but black and white photographs can tend to enhance the feeling of atmosphere when done well, helping to focus attention on the subjects of the images. The extra contrast of black and monochrome images can really evoke a certain atmosphere that colour sometimes simply cannot.
Colour Popped and HDR Techniques
This aspect of photography employs techniques that require attention to detail in both the shooting, as well as the final processing. Photographers who use HDR and colour popping techniques have the awareness, the creative eye and the technical photographic and editing capabilities to produce stunning images.
