Main Reasons Wedding Photography Is Important.

When it comes to planning for your wedding day in Jevington, there is so much to do and hiring a wedding photographer may not be at the top of your to do list.

However, it’s definitely something that deserves some prioritisation. You need to set a budget for it and get a professional in Jevington booked well in advance. It is vitally important that you hire a wedding photographer you can trust to capture the day with skill and expertise. Your wedding photos and your wedding album will come out in the future with friends, family, children and grandchildren to help you tell the story of the day.

The wedding photographs will have the power to take you back to your special day and bring back those amazing feelings again and again down the years. When your wedding day in Jevington is over, your bridal shoes and gown will go into storage, the flowers will wither and be cleared away and the wedding cake will have been eaten. but your wedding photographs will remain with you, along with the memories, to reminisce, share and enjoy, so ensure that you take them seriously!

Why engage a wedding photographer for your big day?

If your wedding is coming up soon then you have probably planned most of the necessities. Catering for the event is in hand, the wedding cake is chosen and the wedding venue is all booked. You’ve tried on and love your wedding dress and have chosen table decorations and flowers.

You’re now planning on the best way to achieve the quality photographs your big day deserves. Perhaps you are considering the option of asking a relative to bring their amateur photography skills to your wedding.

That would enable you to divert some of your budget to other areas of the wedding. This really is not the way that you should proceed.

A professional wedding photographer should take your photos

The savings you make by using an amateur photographer are not worth the risk you are taking of being left with poor quality images to look back on. The photos that are taken must capture those special seconds that mean the most to you.

Key benefits of hiring wedding photography professionals

The photography equipment and software that a professional wedding photographer you hire in Jevington will use will ensure that you get the best quality images possible.

As well as a wealth of knowledge and experience, wedding photographers in Jevington have access to premium photography equipment and software to enable them to capture the best wedding pictures possible.

The physical equipment such as cameras, is just part of the equation in terms of capturing the best photographic images. Camera phones are pretty amazing these days and many people are tempted to try and save money by using them for their wedding photos. Many have found this to be a big mistake. We know everyone wants the best possible photos they can get for their wedding. Let’s take a look at some of the main benefits of having a professional in Jevington with professional photography equipment, so that you can understand what you are actually paying for with a professional wedding photographer.

Camera equipment expertise and knowledge, together with many other elements such as weather and lighting variations. The photographerís performance will be impaired by not having a variety of lenses, lighting options and also by not being skilled in their use. Professional wedding photographers have more photographic equipment in their armoury and also have more experience using different setups to capture stunning images. Although DSLR cameras are available to anyone, it takes experience and proficiency to capture the best possible photos and get the most out of any camera. The person using the equipment and the quality of equipment being used are equally important. In order to get your dream photos, you need high end camera equipment and a wedding photographer with the experience, talent and knowledge to use it appropriately to its full potential. One of the key areas of skill is being able to use the equipment in different photographic lighting conditions, which will be necessary based on the weather and the available light available at your chosen venues.

The Roles of Expert Photographers

Another very good reason to engage the services of a professional wedding photographer in Jevington is that theyíre going to be far less likely to become distracted than a family member or relative charged with capturing the dayís event. The role of the professional photographer is very clearly defined, whereas a family member will likely want to get involved in the celebrations where possible.

A photographer wonít be off-duty, drinking alcohol or eating cake when they should be capturing an important shot. Every moment theyíre there, their focus will be on unobtrusively capturing the best possible images that they can of the event.

Another thing to consider is that guests are more likely to respect photoshoots when theyíre aware that the photographers are paid professionals. When family members organise a photo session, or an ad hoc photo opportunity, thereís a different dynamic to when a photographer sets up a professional shoot.

The Style of the Photography

If you are looking for photography that captures a certain style, then you should hire a photographer that is proficient in that style. If you asked the majority of amateur photographers what the difference is between fine art, contemporary, traditional or photojournalistic photography styles, most wouldnít have a clue.

Can they deliver what you want the way you want it? In most cases, they will fall short. Take a bit of time to understand what it is you want and then hire a photographer that can deliver that style. Go with a professional photographer who can quickly understand what it is you are trying to achieve.

Communication and Reliability

A professional photographer really is a better choice than going for an amateur relative or enthusiast friend in most cases and there are lots of other reasons why. A professional photographer will have the experience to ensure that photo sessions remain within the schedule and do not detract from other parts of the day.

A professional wedding photographer will have the communication skills to organise groups, move people and find out exactly what you want throughout the day. They will be able to use signals and body language, as well as their voice, to get people where they need to be in a pleasant way, enhancing the atmosphere of your celebration in Jevington. Amateur photographers, no matter how hard they try, will find it hard to identify the right approach to photo sessions, being distant to a degree, professional, humorous, encouraging and supporting guests through the process, in order to capture those memorable shots.

You Get More with Professional Wedding Photographers

Of all the people around you on your wedding day, your wedding photographer will probably be with you most. The wedding photographer will take preamble shots at the start of the day, shots at the venue, pictures at the reception and perhaps even pictures as you leave the venue at the end of the day.

Your wedding photographer remains with you throughout every special moment of the day, capturing memories and blending into the background. If a photographer knows what theyíre doing, they wonít be noticed throughout the day. The photographer is the one who notices every detail out of place such as lipstick stains on the teeth, or wonky button holes etc.

They are there to help you get the best pictures and will try and fix anything that is in the way of that goal. Your wedding planner will have lots of other things to do and wonít shadow you all day in Jevington, not like your photographer will. The photographer will ensure that the wedding party are at the right place at the right time and calm everyone throughout any anxious or emotional moments.

A Patient Demeanor

Your wedding photographer should be professional and help you relax throughout the day. Think about the number of hours you will be with this one person on your special day. You want that decision to feel right at every moment of the day.

The professional photographer should have an incredible amount of patience, but also a good deal of empathy and subtle powers of persuasion. They need to go with the flow and be able to make your personality shine brightly on your special day in Jevington. Rarely does a wedding go exactly to plan and a wedding photographer should always remain calm and in control throughout the day. An experienced wedding photographer will flow with the event and will be quick to adapt, always remaining professional.

What to Expect from Your Wedding Photographer?

For most people, the wedding day will be the first time they find themselves in front of a professional photographerís camera lens. This can be a source of anxiety and worry, especially for those that donít like the way they look in photographs.

Having spent some time considering the best professional wedding photographer in Jevington to match the styles you want, you can now rest assured that they will do certain things to make the process run smoothly.

By arriving early your wedding photographer will be able to scout the location and choose some excellent vantage points, although they will probably have visited your key event locations prior to the big day.

The Day Before the Wedding - the Rehearsal

Church wedding ceremonies normally have the custom of a wedding rehearsal a day or two before the wedding. Your photographer may want to attend this to check the location and to have a brief discussion with the Vicar about where to stand during the service. This discussion normally happens on the day of the wedding in Jevington, with the registrar, in the case of a civil ceremony.

Editing is a crucial stage in the wedding photography process and will be completed within the days that follow the event in Jevington. Every selected photograph is edited using a light touch approach with only a few subtle edits.

Jeff Woodall photography only use beautifully sharp images. During post processing, the images undergo some minor editing. They are colour balanced and cropped. Style filters may be applied to some of your wedding images to create a specific look and some will be converted to black and white.

Instructions on how to access the gallery which you can share with friends and family will be sent to you along with a USB stick containing high resolution images that you can easily share online.

After care

At Jeff Woodall photography we will ensure we are accessible to help you find out about bespoke wedding photo books and any wedding albums that you might like. Early on you’ll probably decide if you want a digital photo book album and the different colours and styles that you will require, but it’ll probably take you a while after your wedding ceremony to decide which of the images you are going to want to include.

In most cases the photo book capacity will be around 80 images. The design of the album is then carried out by your photographer.

What do you get when you choose a wedding photography package

Below is a summary list of what a wedding photography package normally includes. Some of the items you may not need to go through in detail, whilst others are highly important. Number of events to be photographed

You need to decide whether you want the photographer at your engagement party and bridal shower, whether the photographer stays for the after-party and of course what time he arrives at the wedding ceremony. This is the first thing to be discussed and can also be divided into the number of days. This will add up to a certain number of days and is normally the first thing that you need to decide. You need to communicate the dates and times of events with the photographer.

How many hours of shooting in Jevington

Generally, each assignment the photographer takes will be priced up largely based on the anticipated hours it will take. Although we tend to use this pricing method for most events and for portrait shoots, the process has been simplified for our wedding packages, to fit the scheduling needs for each wedding and ensure that we remain flexible enough to go with the flow of your day.

Many photographers (and I used to) offer a range of packages in Jevington, such as ëPlatinumí, ëGoldí, ëSilveríand ëBronzeí. It all gets quite complicated, especially if different photo album packages are also added to the mix. I now offer a full day for a fixed price. Iím yours for the day and won’t mind doing the odd extra hour and won’t be clock-watching. We understand that things can run a little off schedule and don’t want you to be billed for an extra hour here or there if a ëSilverí or ëGoldí package, didn’t cover the hours to fully record your event. If your wedding destination is a long way away, weíll need to negotiate expenses for accommodation, flights, fuel and food.

Wedding photography Services List

Below is a summary list of wedding photography services :

What are the differences between all these different styles?

Fine Art Photography

Photojournalistic specialists and fine art photographers donít normally tend to shoot many purely traditional images. Rather, their pictures are captured through an artistic appreciation of events, elements and people, accented with the use of stunning lighting. Fine Art photographers in Jevington have a flair for the dramatic and always looking for the artistic side when composing and staging their photos, often using different filters, including black and white.

Vintage Style Photography

Vintage image filters have become very popular and so this style of photography has quickly evolved. More and more weddings are seeing photographers using a vintage photography style. Something about old, timeless photographs appeals to people, maybe itís the feeling of nostalgia which this style of photography evokes. The use of colour filters and lighting can help to transform images into works of art during the process of capturing images of a vintage theme in Jevington.

Traditional or Classical

In traditional or classical photography, many shots are treated as a posed portraits, sometimes including shots you may think of as candid. With this style of photography, you are likely to get more static images than spontaneous flowing, action shots, although the images you get won’t feel overly staged. Traditional photographers will want to capture precious moments and formalities with artistic style and integrity and will look for shots that will work using that style during the wedding ceremony.

Photojournalistic or Reportage

This style of photography is less about orchestrating and creating moments to capture on camera, than reporting those special moments of the day. Group shots will be taken as required, as well as candid and spontaneous images. There are few formal ëgrip and griní roundups and guests smiling for the shot. Photojournalistic photographers prefer to capture spontaneous emotions and reactions, often by the use of close ups and candid techniques, they have a general philosophy of freezing that authentic moment in time, rather than creating orchestrated poses and scenes.

Black and White (Monochrome)

With black-and-white photographs you get a timeless and classical feel to images. Although many people prefer colour images, others appreciate how removing that colour and by the skillfully use of post processing techniques, really create pictures that are packed with atmosphere. Everyone has a different preference. Monochrome images aren’t always liked by everybody, but using this style can really draw attention to particular aspects of the sceneís composition and subject matter. Black and white images can be effective in portraying an atmospheric, or nostalgic and timeless feel, that is sometimes elusive in the colour version.

Colour Popped and HDR Techniques

This area of photography requires skill in techniques that involve shooting with a lot of attention to detail and the post processing becomes a little more complex too. The users of HDR and colour popped photography techniques, carefully choose the scenes they shoot in order to create images that are striking, with vibrant colours which draw the viewersí attention to a particular area of the image.
