Main Reasons Wedding Photography Is Important.

Planning your wedding day in Church-Wood is an involved process and hiring a wedding photographer may not initially be at the top of your priority list.

However, it is important enough that you should bump it up your priority list. You need to get a photographer in Church-Wood booked well in advance and have a clear budget for your wedding images. It is vitally important that you hire a wedding photographer you can trust to capture the day with skill and expertise. When your children and future grandchildren ask you about your wedding, you’ll be able to tell the story of the day by showing them your wedding images.

The professional images of your wedding day will have the power to rekindle memories and the joyous feelings of your wedding as you browse through them over the years. Your cake will have been eaten, the flowers gone and your wedding dress and shoes packed away after the wedding in Church-Wood. but importance needs to be placed on your wedding images, because they will be with you forever, to browse through and perfectly recapture those emotions from your wedding day.

Why hire a professional photographer for your wedding?

You’ve probably got most of the planning done already if your wedding is fast approaching. You’ve planned the catering side of things, chosen the cake and booked the venue. You have chosen your wedding theme colours, selected your flowers and your wedding gown is hung up and ready to go.

The wedding photographs are next on the list. Perhaps you’re considering asking your nephew to do it since he’s an amateur photographer.

The money you save on the photographs could be used to cover other wedding expenses. You should definitely not go down this path.

A professional wedding photographer should take your photos

The savings you make by using an amateur photographer are not worth the risk you are taking of being left with poor quality images to look back on. The photos that are taken must capture those special seconds that mean the most to you.

The benefits of having a professional wedding photographer

The photography equipment and software that a professional wedding photographer you hire in Church-Wood will use will ensure that you get the best quality images possible.

Using their knowledge and skills, together with camera and equipment of superior technology and editing with the latest software, your wedding photographer in Church-Wood will be able to produce beautiful and unique images that will make your day..

The quality of the photographs is determined by far more than just the camera that is taking them. The advent of camera phones has for some become a tempting way to try and save money on wedding photography. This could probably be one of the biggest mistakes you make. Everyone wants beautifully composed and captured photographs of their wedding day. Let me explain a bit more about how a wedding photographer in Church-Wood can add value to your photos and why it’s worth paying for them.

Camera equipment expertise, as well as being able to deal with indoor and outdoor lighting. A wedding photographer will not be able to produce fantastic pictures in all conditions if they don’t have the lenses for the situation, the lighting options, or don’t have the skill to use them. Professional wedding photographers normally bring to the table a lot more skill, knowledge and equipment that they can use. A DSLR camera can be purchased by anyone almost certainly, but the full potential of this camera can only be unlocked by experienced professionals. The skill of the person taking the photos is highly important, but they also need the right equipment to produce top results. The ideal scenario is that you have the best equipment available and a highly skilled professional photographer to be able to get the most out of it. This includes choosing the right equipment and camera settings for indoor and outdoor shots at the venue and the changing conditions at both.

The Role the Photographer Plays

One other very good reason to hire a professional wedding photographer in Church-Wood, instead of using a relative, is that theyíre less likely to become distracted. When you pay a professional photographer, theyíre there to do a job, whereas a family member is more likely to be looking to enjoy the celebrations.

A photographer wonít be off-duty, drinking alcohol or eating cake when they should be capturing an important shot. Theyíll be concentrating on the job in hand, candidly capturing some of the best images they can for the duration of the event.

Another thing to bear in mind is that wedding guests tend to respond to photoshoots better when they are being arranged by professional wedding photographers. When family members organise a photo session, or an ad hoc photo opportunity, thereís a different dynamic to when a photographer sets up a professional shoot.

Skill with Different Styles of Photography

If you are looking for photography that captures a certain style, then you should hire a photographer that is proficient in that style. If you asked the majority of amateur photographers what the difference is between fine art, contemporary, traditional or photojournalistic photography styles, most wouldnít have a clue.

Can an amateur really deliver the pictures that are going to inspire you forever? Often, this is not the case. Take some time to consider the photography styles you want to make sure that the wedding photographer you hire is in sync with you. Make sure that you hire a wedding photographer who can quickly comprehend exactly what it is you want to achieve.

Communication and Reliability

A professional photographer really is a better choice than going for an amateur relative or enthusiast friend in most cases and there are lots of other reasons why. You shouldnít underestimate the wealth of experience the professional brings in dealing with the various challenges of the big day.

A professional wedding photographer will get people where they need to be for each photo and plan all the photo sessions to ensure no one gets missed out, or no opportunity is missed. They have the experience to do so using body language, cues and verbally, without obstructing your guests, or spoiling the celebration of your big day in Church-Wood. Getting the perfect picture often involves striking a balance between being distant, but also being encouraging and supportive, humorous and amateurs rarely have the skills to do it.

If You Want More, Use Professional Wedding Photographers

Thereís no person youíll be spending more time with on your wedding day than your photographer. The wedding photographer will take preamble shots at the start of the day, shots at the venue, pictures at the reception and perhaps even pictures as you leave the venue at the end of the day.

Your wedding photographer is always near you, having been engaged to capture the emotion and style of your day in its entirety. The best wedding photographers are practically invisible, until you need a photo taken. The photographer will notice if a picture is being spoiled by a lipstick stain on a collar, or a wonky handkerchief.

Your photographer will help you try and fix anything that could spoil a quality photo. Your wedding planner will not be your shadow all day in Church-Wood, but your photographer will. The photographer will help the wedding party be where they need to be, when they need to be and to be as calm as they should be.

A Patient Demeanor

Itís really important that you hire a wedding photographer that puts you at ease. Think about the number of hours you will be with this one person on your special day. You donít want to spend all that time second-guessing your decision.

The wedding photographer should be technically excellent, patient, empathetic and a great planner. Your personality needs to be captured through the lens and itís their job to help you to be at ease throughout the day in Church-Wood. An experienced professional will recognise that things rarely go exactly according to plan and will remain calm and effective throughout. An experienced wedding photographer will flow with the event and will be quick to adapt, always remaining professional.

Hiring a Wedding Photographer and What to Expect?

For a lot of wedding couples, their wedding day is the first time a professional wedding photographer has their camera lens pointed at them. If you donít like the way you look in photographs, this can prove to be a fairly stressful situation.

If you have done your homework by selecting a professional wedding photographer in Church-Wood that matches your style, there are a few things that a wedding photographer will deliver to mark a satisfactory service.

Do you need a quality, friendly and relaxed professional photographer for your Wedding? Give me call today.

Theyíll Be There on Time and Be Professional

Professionalism comes naturally if you hire someone based on their reputation and passion. Your wedding photographer should remain polite and courteous at all times, demonstrating a great attitude, good time keeping for every aspect of the schedule and remaining suitably attired throughout the day. Your photographer should get to your wedding venues earlier than the guests so that they can get a feel for the environment; they will probably have been to some of the venues already in order to understand the limitations and possibilities.

Rehearsing for the Wedding Day (The day before)

It is customary for church wedding ceremonies to have a rehearsal a few days before the big day. Your photographer may want to attend this to check the location and to have a brief discussion with the Vicar about where to stand during the service. With civil ceremonies, the photographers will normally have a discussion with the registrar prior to the wedding starting in Church-Wood.

The Day Arrives – the Wedding

Your wedding photographer will normally arrive to capture the bridal presentations, at a pre agreed time. He will stay with you for the entire day and will mirror you through the day without interrupting. Jeff Woodall photography prides itself on its ability to remain unobtrusive but to always be available for questions and to keep spirits high, ensuring that no beautifully precious moment is lost. Jeff Woodall photography will be poised to capture all of the beautiful moments through the day, without intruding in any way.

At a certain time in the evening, usually after the first dance, your photographer will approach you to see if thereís anything else you would like him to capture. The photographer will start to backup the photos if you are happy that they have captured all the moments you need. All the photos will be fully backed up by Jeff Woodall photography, on 2 hard drives and the backups will be kept save until all wedding photos have been edited and delivered to you. We understand just how precious your photographs are to you.

Getting Your Wedding Photos Edited

In the days after the wedding in Church-Wood the important editing stage is completed. At the start of the editing stage, the photos need to be sifted through so that the best ones can be selected. A light edit is carried out on the images to ensure that it is subtle and natural.

Jeff Woodall photography only use beautifully sharp images. Images are cropped and have their colours balanced where necessary, but is limited to minor adjustments. Some images will be converted to black and white and may have other styles applied as appropriate.

The pictures are then prepared and uploaded for viewing, by anyone you want to give access in an online password protected Gallery. They are also provided to you on a presentation USB stick. If you want to share access to your wedding photos on your own online gallery, weíll give you instructions on how to do so, as well as providing a high-definition backup of all your photos on a USB stick.

Follow-up client support

Jeff Woodall photography will always be on hand, accessible to talk about wedding photo album options and the design of wedding photo books if you so require them. It can take some time after the wedding ceremony to decide on which pictures to include in your digital photo book album, even if you have already decided on colours, styles and designs.

In most cases the photo book capacity will be around 80 images. Your photographer will then begin to design the album for you.

The shoot duration in Church-Wood

Each assignment a photographer takes is normally broken down into a number of hours. At Jeff Woodall photography this is normally the way we price up events and portraits, but with weddings the process has been simplified because we understand that each day is completely different, timings are personal and we need to be flexible to capture the flow of your wedding events.

You are probably familiar with photographers offering ëPlatinumí, ëGoldí, ëSilverí and ëBronzeí wedding packages in Church-Wood. This way of doing things can get over complicated and even more so when additional options and extras are added to the mix. I now prefer to work on a fixed price for the full day’s coverage. Iím yours for the day and won’t mind doing the odd extra hour and won’t be clock-watching. We donít want to bill you an extra hour or two after the wedding because it didn’t go exactly to schedule and the package you pay for didn’t have enough hours. If your wedding destination is a long way away, weíll need to negotiate expenses for accommodation, flights, fuel and food.

Wedding photography Services List

Below is a summary list of wedding photography services :

A Look at the Differences in Styles

Fine Art Photography

Fine art photographers normally steer clear of too many traditional shots, in the same way that photojournalistic photographers do. Rather, they photograph with an appreciation for the artistic side of people, the lighting options and the overall drama of the scene. Fine Art photographers in Church-Wood have a flair for the dramatic and always looking for the artistic side when composing and staging their photos, often using different filters, including black and white.

Vintage Style Photography

Vintage photography is a style that has evolved and become increasingly more popular of late, helped by the emergence of vintage style filters. More and more weddings are seeing photographers using a vintage photography style. Photographs of the Vintage style are timeless, old and has the power to stir emotions in people, which is perhaps why the style has become so appealing. Vintage photography done well in Church-Wood, transforms ordinary images into artistic work of art using colour filters and various props and lighting tricks.

Traditional or Classical

In traditional or classical photography, each moment is captured as if it staged and a portrait, rather than spontaneous and ad hoc as they might seem. This won’t make the photograph appear forced or posed, but it’s likely that few spontaneous ëaction shotsí will be included in the mix. The goal of photographers who prefer the traditional style is to take pictures that reflect the artistry and dignity of the wedding ceremony, with stunning lighting techniques.

Photojournalistic or Reportage

This style involves the recording of events as opposed to the staging of them. Group shots will be taken as required, as well as candid and spontaneous images. There are few formal ëgrip and griní roundups and guests smiling for the shot. Photographers with a photojournalistic style will shy away from orchestrating too many moments during the day, except those formal group shots, or bride and groom images they need to take. They prefer to record close-ups of the bride, groom and wedding guests and really document the dayís actual emotions and feelings.

Black and White (Monochrome)

This style is excellent for timeless, classical, emotion-packed photographs. Many clients appreciate how the nostalgia and mood of images can be enhanced by removing colour. It’s all about preference. Using monochrome can enhance pictures by helping the subject and composition of photos really come to life. Black and white images can be effective in portraying an atmospheric, or nostalgic and timeless feel, that is sometimes elusive in the colour version.

Colour Popped and HDR Techniques

This area of photography requires skill in techniques that involve shooting with a lot of attention to detail and the post processing becomes a little more complex too. The photographer chooses the appropriate moment with which to use these techniques, finally skillfully uses the right processing software to produce quality images with colours that pop and emphasises particular areas of a scene.
