The Photographerís Role

A professional wedding photographer in Bulverhythe is far less likely to be distracted by situations of the day than a family member or relative. The professional photographer wonít be striving to enjoy the day and become part of the celebration, like a family member would want to do.

They wonít miss that crucial loving moment because theyíre eating cake, downing a beer, or chatting with wedding guests. Their focus will be 100% on getting every possible moment captured on camera.

Something else that is a factor is that wedding guests tend to respect photo opportunities much more when they are gently marshalled by professional photographers. If a relative is trying to organise a photo session, it might end up far less organised than if a professional were doing it.

The Photography Style

In order to get a specific photographic style, you need a professional photographer whose style matches what youíre looking for. Not many amateurs are familiar with the differences between photojournalistic, fine art, traditional or contemporary styles.

Are you certain that theyíre going to be able to provide you with the photos that you dream of? Often, they wonít be able to. Donít rush into a decision; think about the style you want and get a photographer that can match it. Go with a professional photographer who can quickly understand what it is you are trying to achieve.

A Great Communicator and Reliable, too

There are many more reasons that a professional photographer is a better choice than using a relative or enthusiast. A professional photographer brings a lot of experience of weddings to the table and can help you to stay on track with the schedule and find the right balance between getting things done and blending into the background.

A professional photographer will be able to communicate effectively with your guests and keep the photo sessions flowing, by effectively getting people where they need to be. They will use body language and verbal messages, without imposing on your guests, to run through the necessary formalities whilst enhancing the celebration of your wedding day in Bulverhythe. Amateur photographers, no matter how hard they try, will find it hard to identify the right approach to photo sessions, being distant to a degree, professional, humorous, encouraging and supporting guests through the process, in order to capture those memorable shots.

Expert Wedding Photographers Give You more

Of all the people around you on your wedding day, your wedding photographer will probably be with you most. The wedding photographer will take the initial shots during the day as you get ready and even travel to the church and will stay with you throughout the day and maybe until you leave for home or honeymoon.

Your wedding photographer remains with you throughout every special moment of the day, capturing memories and blending into the background. Good wedding photographers will only be noticed when they need to organise a photo session. The photographer will notice if a picture is being spoiled by a lipstick stain on a collar, or a wonky handkerchief.

By fixing any little issues they can help you get better images. Your wedding planner will not be your shadow all day in Bulverhythe, but your photographer will. Your photographer will calm emotions when they heighten and ensure that people get to the right place at the right time.

Patience

As a couple, you need to hire a professional photographer that you are comfortable with. This is a person you are going to be around a great deal on one of the most special days of your life. You donít want to spend all that time second-guessing your decision.

The professional photographer will have to be technically skilled, with an added mix of patience, experience and understanding. They need to go with the flow and be able to make your personality shine brightly on your special day in Bulverhythe. An experienced professional will recognise that things rarely go exactly according to plan and will remain calm and effective throughout. An experienced wedding photographer will flow with the event and will be quick to adapt, always remaining professional.

What to Expect from Your Wedding Photographer?

In many cases the day of the wedding is the first time people are in front of a professionalís camera. This can be a source of anxiety and worry, especially for those that donít like the way they look in photographs.

Having invested some time to choose the right wedding photographer, you can be assured that they will do certain things to make the process less stressful.

Promptness and Professionalism

Professionalism comes naturally if you hire someone based on their reputation and passion. Your photographer should be friendly, polite, punctual and appropriately dressed for the event. Your wedding photographer should arrive before they need to, so that they can get a feel for the venues and the best places to get the shots that you desire.

The Wedding Rehearsal on the Day Before the Wedding

It is customary for church wedding ceremonies to have a rehearsal a few days before the big day. In many cases you photographer will choose to attend this event and to speak to the presiding minister about where they can and cannot stand and what they can and cannot do during ceremony. With civil ceremonies, the photographers will normally have a discussion with the registrar prior to the wedding starting in Bulverhythe.

At Jeff Woodall photography we will ensure we are accessible to help you find out about bespoke wedding photo books and any wedding albums that you might like. If you have already decided on a digital photo book album and know the style choices you want to go for, it’ll probably still take you a little while after the wedding to decide on which images to include.

You’ll probably be asked to pick your favorite 80 photographs that depict the story of your day and you can ask your photographer any questions to guide you on this. Your photographer will then begin to design the album for you.

How many hours of shooting in Bulverhythe

Typically, a photographer will work out pricing based on the number of hours they need to put into any assignment. At Jeff Woodall Photography we tend to use this method of pricing for events and for portraits, but we understand that each wedding has a bespoke schedule and that we need to be flexible to go with the day and so we work a little differently.

Many photographers (and I used to) offer a range of packages in Bulverhythe, such as ëPlatinumí, ëGoldí, ëSilveríand ëBronzeí. When you start adding extra options, wedding album packages, design and other things it can get quite complicated. When you choose me, you get a fixed price for the day, with no hidden extras. Obviously, this is within reason, but I tend to arrive well early to get shots of getting ready and to remain long after the first dance, because there is still additional photographic value to be had. We know you don’t want to have an extra hour billed after the event, just because your schedule fell behind and the eight hours you paid for in the ëSilver packageí didn’t cover the full day. For wedding ceremonies that involves travelling, the travel expenses for flights, fuel, food, refreshments and accommodation would need to be subject to negotiation with the client.

A Look at the Differences in Styles

Fine Art Photography

Just as with photography of a photojournalistic style, fine art photographers don’t normally take that many shots that are of a traditional nature. Rather, their pictures are captured through an artistic appreciation of events, elements and people, accented with the use of stunning lighting. Fine Art photographers in Bulverhythe have a flair for the dramatic and always looking for the artistic side when composing and staging their photos, often using different filters, including black and white.

Vintage Style Photography

Vintage photo filters have become quite popular over the last decade and has resulted in more demand for this style of photography. The number of wedding couples that choose to have vintage wedding photography has grown fast. Photographs of the Vintage style are timeless, old and has the power to stir emotions in people, which is perhaps why the style has become so appealing. Vintage photography done well in Bulverhythe, transforms ordinary images into artistic work of art using colour filters and various props and lighting tricks.

Traditional or Classical

In traditional or classical photography, many shots are treated as a posed portraits, sometimes including shots you may think of as candid. With traditional or classical wedding photography, it’s unlikely that you’ll get lots of action and movement in photos, but the images shouldnít feel unnaturally forced either. The wedding ceremony will be captured with the aim of taking pictures that are artistic and functional, but perhaps driven less by drama or emotion.

Photojournalistic or Reportage

Photojournalism looks to record moments on camera, rather than orchestrating specific staged shots. As always, the necessary formal shots will be taken, as well as a number of spontaneous happy shots group shots during the day. Photographers with a photojournalistic style will shy away from orchestrating too many moments during the day, except those formal group shots, or bride and groom images they need to take. They prefer to record close-ups of the bride, groom and wedding guests and really document the dayís actual emotions and feelings.

Black and White (Monochrome)

This style is excellent for timeless, classical, emotion-packed photographs. Black-and-white photos are appreciated by many for their ability to enhance the mood and atmosphere of the scene being depicted. It really comes down to what you prefer. Using monochrome can enhance pictures by helping the subject and composition of photos really come to life. The extra contrast of black and monochrome images can really evoke a certain atmosphere that colour sometimes simply cannot.

Colour Popped and HDR Techniques

When shooting photographs and using this photo technique, each shot is rather complex with lots of elements to consider and the editing process is equally detailed. The photographer that uses HDR and colour popped techniques will use them sparingly, only with the right images, to maximise the impact of those colour popped or high dynamic scenes.
