Wheels through the years
A very impressive showing of classic cars and motorcycles today, in Burgess Hill, at the annual ‘Wheels through the years’ event at Fairfield recreation ground.

Emily and Joe were married at Pangdean Barn, Pycombe on Thursday the 16th of May 2024 and a little earlier had a traditional Chinese wedding ceremony at The iconic Grand Hotel, Brighton. Two lovely wedding venues. The gardens at Pangdean Barn are maintained in superb condition. A day full of beautifully colourful dress and decorations
A great event again this year at the Goodwoood festival of Speed. A lot of stunning vehicles, old and new. Great to meet up with Mark Shuck from Porsche again. He was driving the Porsche Taycan GTS , the amazing all-electric supercar. We were lucky enough to hitch a ride up the hill and WOW!
Pilot, Mike Howard asked me to capture a few images of him with his new book. It’s an extraordinary true story of crime, intrigue and a very daring, risky repossession of an executive jet (without permission) from Lagos International Airport, which he undertook. A thoroughly good read and there’s more to come from Mike –
What a fabulous day out at Firle Place, where the 2019 World Sleddog Association Dryland World championships was hosted over the weekend. Unfortunately the weather was less than ideal, having had recent downpours, so the ground was an absolute mud bath. That didn’t deter the competitors one little bit though. There were over 200 competitors

You’ve possibly planned much of your wedding already, but here is a useful checklist I’ve put together for you, just to make sure that you haven’t forgotten anything. The 5-3-1 event is a special open water swim at Ardingly Reservoir to raise funds for the Lauren’s Silver Swimmer Charity, a local charity which seeks to provide money for children with life-long disability who require aquatic therapy. The charity commemorates the life of a wonderful little girl Lauren Silverlock, who loved swimming in her all too short
Great day out on the beach, including a ride on the British Airways i360. Interesting shot of the pier from up there. Darcy was in her element and as usual, it’s the simplest things (like my hat) which she found the most interesting..
Great friends of ours Chris & Debbie have a brand new Vizsla pup they’ve called ‘Woody’ (after me!). So off we went with camera in hand, to take a few shots of this little bundle of energy. We took Watson, the miniature Pinscher with us and things were pretty mad for a while.. Woody is
What a great first day at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, 2019. It even included a McLaren made from Lego! However, by far the highlight of my day was when I got to go ‘up the hill’ in a Porsche 911 Carrera S driven by Mark Shuck, a superb specialist ‘Porsche Experience’ trainer, based at
My girls treated me to a day out for Father’s day at Groombridge Place yesterday. A country estate, which has been used as the setting for films such as Pride & Prejudice. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, so there was a lot of dashing for cover under exhibitor’s tents, but there were various things to
What a great trip we had visiting friends in Switzerland. Some wonderful walks along Lake Zurich in Richterswil and Lake Lucerne, but also a breathtaking visit up to Stoos, which is at the foot of the Fronalpstock mountain. To get there, you travel on the funicular railway – the steepest in the world. It travels
We wandered around the lovely Allestree Park and nature reserve with Kate. It’s a great facility, which is the grounds of the original Allestree Hall, a 19th century grade II listed building, unfortunately now in need of much restoration. The grounds (over 300 acres) now include a golf course and is owned by Derby City
Great weather today (for a change) for the Horsham District Showcase tour. I went to Steyning to watch the 40 or so classic and ‘supercars’ parading through in convoy. Sue & I arrived early to browse the French market first, sampling the cheeses etc. The High Street of the small town became absolutely packed, as
Time for a little wander around Tilgate Park, a wonderfully maintained area with lakes, woodland, lawns a nature reserve and lots of wildlife, including the graceful swans. A little stroll around the park in the sunshine (last bit of the unusually warm February sun perhaps). What beautiful light bursting through the trees and across the
Just returned from a great trip to New York and due to the unusually warm couple of days, sandwiched between sub zero temperatures, I arranged a shoot on location on the Brooklyn waterfront with fellow photographers Neil Van Niekerk and Lorraine Regan, who booked the beautiful model Rozalinda (Rosie). Rosie a resident of Brooklyn, is
In 1896 the origin ‘Emancipation Run’ celebrated the passing of the Locomotives on the Highway Act. This increased the permissible speed of cars to 14mph! Today is the 122nd anniversary of this Car Run. Not quite as cold as last year thankfully, so sitting at the side of the road with a flask of hot
Super chilled out couple Richard and Amanda decided on a classy and low-key affair at the lovely Ockenden Manor. An upbeat service followed by a few photos and then the reception at The Talbot over the road. A vibrant village pub with a great reputation locally for its food and ales. Richard & Amanda love
Three Crowns, Wisborough Green It’s always great to be a part of a happy event such as a wedding. However, to see Rebecca and Lewis, a couple who have been together for so long finally tying the knot, it just seemed so right. The day began at the Welldiggers Arms, Low Heath, Petworth, where Rebecca,
Normally as a Mid Sussex Triathlon member, I’m busy marshalling during the event. This year however, apart from assisting in the first hour or so of booking athletes in during the early morning registration process, I was let off lightly. I had been asked by Steve ‘Mac’ (race director) to bring my camera gear and to
