Key benefits of hiring wedding photography professionals

Having hired a professional wedding photographer in Iden, you are assured of the highest quality images, created and edited using the best expertise, cameras and photo editing software.

The professional wedding photographer you hire in Iden will be able to capture fantastic images with their skill, state-of-the-art cameras and equipment and edited to a superb standard using the latest software.

The physical equipment such as cameras, is just part of the equation in terms of capturing the best photographic images. The advent of camera phones has for some become a tempting way to try and save money on wedding photography. This could probably be one of the biggest mistakes you make. Every wedding day deserves photographs that are captured skillfully, in the style of your choosing. Let’s delve deeper into what a professional wedding photographer in Iden can bring to your wedding day and how they add value.

A detailed knowledge of their camera equipment and how to deal with variable lighting conditions. A photographer is only as good as the lenses they use and the skills they possess and a full appreciation of lighting. Professional wedding photographers normally bring to the table a lot more skill, knowledge and equipment that they can use. A DSLR camera can be purchased by anyone almost certainly, but the full potential of this camera can only be unlocked by experienced professionals. The person using the equipment and the quality of equipment being used are equally important. Ideally, you want to go for high end gear, as well as an expert photographer who has the knowledge and expertise in using that equipment optimally. The skill of the photographer includes being able to take great photos in diverse lighting scenarios, depending on the weather, or the lighting at the wedding event venues.

The Roles of Expert Photographers

Another very good reason to engage the services of a professional wedding photographer in Iden is that theyíre going to be far less likely to become distracted than a family member or relative charged with capturing the dayís event. A relative will likely expect to enjoy the day and become part of it, whereas a professional photographer will know that their role is very clearly defined.

A photographer wonít be off-duty, drinking alcohol or eating cake when they should be capturing an important shot. Theyíll be concentrating on the job in hand, candidly capturing some of the best images they can for the duration of the event.

Wedding shoots also tend to go much better when guests are engaging with paid, professional photographers. When family members are taking control of a family photo session it tends to be taken less seriously.

Diverse Styles of Photography

If you want a specific style of photography, you should hire a professional photographer whose style matches yours. Not many amateurs are familiar with the differences between photojournalistic, fine art, traditional or contemporary styles.

Can an amateur really deliver the pictures that are going to inspire you forever? Quite often, they will not be able to. Take some time to consider the photography styles you want to make sure that the wedding photographer you hire is in sync with you. Once you have a style in mind, hire a photographer that can picture what it is you want.

A Reliable and Communicative Professional

There are lots of other reasons to choose a professional wedding photographer rather than choosing a relative, friend or enthusiast to take your photos. Itís easy to underestimate the degree of experience a professional brings to the day and how they can contribute to it going smoothly, in spite of the various inevitable challenges.

A professional will be able to carry the wedding party along and subtly communicate where your guests need to be. They have the experience to do so using body language, cues and verbally, without obstructing your guests, or spoiling the celebration of your big day in Iden. Amateur photographers, no matter how hard they try, will find it hard to identify the right approach to photo sessions, being distant to a degree, professional, humorous, encouraging and supporting guests through the process, in order to capture those memorable shots.

You Get More with Professional Wedding Photographers

You spend more time with your wedding photographer than anyone else on your wedding day. They will photograph you getting ready and spending time before the event and perhaps be around all the way until you leave the venue.

Your wedding photographer is always near you, having been engaged to capture the emotion and style of your day in its entirety. If theyíre good at their job, youíll hardly notice theyíre there. The photographer will notice if a picture is being spoiled by a lipstick stain on a collar, or a wonky handkerchief.

Their detailed focus will help you fix any little issues and get better photos. Your wedding planner will spend far less time with you during the day in Iden than your photographer will. The experience of the photographer will help to ensure that the wedding party know where they are going and when and help to alleviate any anxiety or emotions as they arise.

Patience Is the Key

As a couple, you need to hire a professional photographer that you are comfortable with. This is a person you are going to be around a great deal on one of the most special days of your life. That decision needs to feel right.

The professional photographer you choose should have an excellent skill set; great technically, the patience of a saint, the persuasive skills of a sales person and the empathetic and emotional skills of a counsellor. It is their job to help the day in Iden flow and to bring out your personality and capture it with their photography skills. Rarely does a wedding go exactly to plan and a wedding photographer should always remain calm and in control throughout the day. A good wedding photographer will remain professional at all times and will be flexible, flowing and adapting to changing circumstances.

What to Expect When You Hire a Wedding Photographer?

For most people, the wedding day will be the first time they find themselves in front of a professional photographerís camera lens. Those that are camera shy, or donít particularly like how they look in photos, can feel anxious and worried about having a camera pointing at them all day.

If you have done your homework by selecting a professional wedding photographer in Iden that matches your style, there are a few things that a wedding photographer will deliver to mark a satisfactory service.

Theyíll Be There on Time and Be Professional

Professionalism comes naturally if you hire someone based on their reputation and passion. Your wedding photographer should remain polite and courteous at all times, demonstrating a great attitude, good time keeping for every aspect of the schedule and remaining suitably attired throughout the day. Your wedding photographer should get there ahead of schedule to take a look around and find their vantage points for the day.

Wedding Day Rehearsal (The day before)

If you plan to have a church ceremony, then itís customary to have a rehearsal a day or a week before. Your wedding photographer may well want to attend this wedding rehearsal to speak to the Vicar about where to stand during the ceremony and to find out more about the venue. In the case of a civil ceremony, the wedding photographer will tend to have the discussion with the registrar on the same day as the wedding in Iden.

The Wedding

Your wedding photographer will normally arrive to capture the bridal presentations, at a pre agreed time. He will be there for the rest of the day but will not interrupt the flow in any way. Jeff Woodall photographyís ethos is to be very subtle, at staying in the background without interrupting the day, but being available to keep spirits high and answer any difficult questions, making sure that every single memory is captured in digital format. Jeff Woodall photography prides itself on its ability to remain unobtrusive but to always be available for questions and to keep spirits high, ensuring that no beautifully precious moment is lost.

At a certain time in the evening, usually after the first dance, your photographer will approach you to see if thereís anything else you would like him to capture. The backing up process will begin if you are happy for your photographer to call it a day. Jeff Woodall photography will keep all photos backed up on a storage device until they have been through the editing suite process and are delivered to your satisfaction. We fully understand that your photographs are precious and need to be looked after.

Getting Your Wedding Photos Edited

In the days after the wedding in Iden the important editing stage is completed. To tell the story of the wedding day the pictures need to capture the moments and so the first stage is going through all the photos and picking the best ones. A light edit is carried out on the images to ensure that it is subtle and natural.

The images that are captured by Jeff Woodall photography are always crisp and sharp. The pictures are cropped as necessary and the colours are balanced. Some images will be converted to black and white and may have other styles applied as appropriate.

The images are then exported and uploaded to an online password protected gallery, ready to be viewed by you, your friends and family as you wish. You will also be given all high resolution images on a USB stick. Instructions on how to access the gallery which you can share with friends and family will be sent to you along with a USB stick containing high resolution images that you can easily share online.

Here to help after event

Jeff Woodall photography will be available for everything else you need; to talk about albums, or the types of bespoke wedding photo books that can be designed for you. It can take some time after the wedding ceremony to decide on which pictures to include in your digital photo book album, even if you have already decided on colours, styles and designs.

Your photographer will guide you through how many photos to choose and how best to tell the story and we’ll probably suggest around 80 photos. The design process will then begin, as your photographer works on the album.

What do you get when you choose a wedding photography package

Here is a summary of what you will typically find in a wedding photography package. Some of the items you’ll need to make some careful decisions about, whereas others take care of themselves. The number of wedding events you want photos from.

You need to decide whether you want the photographer at your engagement party and bridal shower, whether the photographer stays for the after-party and of course what time he arrives at the wedding ceremony. Some of the events the photographer will almost certainly be at, include the wedding ceremony and the after party, but you need to decide whether he attends the bridal shower, the engagement party and how long he stays on during the after party. You need to communicate the dates and times of events with the photographer.

Number of hours for the shoot in Iden

Typically, a photographer will work out pricing based on the number of hours they need to put into any assignment. Each wedding is individual, with exact timings that differ and ad hoc things that happened during the day and so we work a little differently on wedding packages in order to remain flexible.

Many photographers (and I used to) offer a range of packages in Iden, such as ëPlatinumí, ëGoldí, ëSilveríand ëBronzeí. When you start adding extras to these packages it all becomes a bit of a logistical nightmare to understand or work out the overall price. I now offer a full day for a fixed price. Obviously, I’m not going to give hours of my time for free, but I’m happy to arrive early to get some shots, or stay after the first dance if there’s extra photos that need to be captured. We want pricing to be clear and transparent and don’t want to have to bill you for extra hours after the event, because things ran on and your ëSilverí package didn’t cover it. For wedding ceremonies that involves travelling, the travel expenses for flights, fuel, food, refreshments and accommodation would need to be subject to negotiation with the client.

A Look at the Differences in Styles

Fine Art Photography

Photographers that concentrate on a fine art style, don’t usually take traditional shots, just as photojournalistic photographers donít. Rather, they photograph with an appreciation for the artistic side of people, the lighting options and the overall drama of the scene. The Fine Art photographer in Iden is adept in the use of black and white photography and at producing less candid, beautifully composed photos, full of drama and artistic beauty.

Vintage Style Photography

Vintage photo filters have become quite popular over the last decade and has resulted in more demand for this style of photography. The number of wedding couples that choose to have vintage wedding photography has grown fast. With vintage images there is certainly a timeless quality that can stir nostalgic emotion, which may be the cause of such an increase in the appeal of this artistic style. Colour filters together with other post processing methods have the capacity to translate rather plain images into artistic pieces and photographers in Iden who have a keen eye in this area, can work wonders with wedding photographs.

Traditional or Classical

In traditional or classical photography, each moment is captured as if it staged and a portrait, rather than spontaneous and ad hoc as they might seem. This won’t make the photograph appear forced or posed, but it’s likely that few spontaneous ëaction shotsí will be included in the mix. The aim of traditional photography is to capture moments with dignity and artistry, using many posed shots, including many formal images, under a range of lighting options.

Photojournalistic or Reportage

This style of photography is less about orchestrating and creating moments to capture on camera, than reporting those special moments of the day. With this type of photography, you’ll get the happy shots of guests together during the day, as well as more spontaneous and candid photos; the obligatory group shots and the formal bride and groom photos will of course also be included. The photojournalistic wedding photographer tells the story of the day, using a mix of close-up and candid shots, showing spontaneous reaction and recording the atmosphere of the event , rather than orchestrating the scenes.

Black and White (Monochrome)

This can be an effective way to present classic, timeless images. Although many clients prefer colour photographs, a large number also appreciate the way that removing colour can enhance the mood captured in images. It’s all about preference. By using monochrome techniques, you can really bring out the essence of the subject of a photograph, although not everyone likes this style. Black and white photographs have the capacity to really enhance the atmosphere of an image, that is sometimes lost in the colour option.

Colour Popped and HDR Techniques

Attention to detail during the shoot and excellent editing skills are required for this type of photography technique. This technique of photography [ HDR / colour popped] involves picking the right scenes and the right processing software to create highly appealing photographs with colours that pop and stunning detail that is striking for the viewer.
