Main Reasons Wedding Photography Is Important.

Planning your wedding day in Glenleigh-Park is an involved process and hiring a wedding photographer may not initially be at the top of your priority list.

However, it’s definitely something that deserves some prioritisation. You need to get a photographer in Glenleigh-Park booked well in advance and have a clear budget for your wedding images. Your wedding day is made up of lots of little precious memories and you need a professional wedding photographer with the ability to capture the essence of every little moment. When your children and future grandchildren ask you about your wedding, you’ll be able to tell the story of the day by showing them your wedding images.

Your wedding photos will capture cherished memories that you can turn to time and time again. Your cake will have been eaten, the flowers gone and your wedding dress and shoes packed away after the wedding in Glenleigh-Park. but importance needs to be placed on your wedding images, because they will be with you forever, to browse through and perfectly recapture those emotions from your wedding day.

Why a professional photographer is the right choice for your wedding

If your wedding day is just around the corner, then you have probably planned most of what you need to plan. You’ve planned the catering side of things, chosen the cake and booked the venue. Your wedding dress is perfect, your wedding theme is arranged and the flowers chosen.

You are now thinking about capturing the precious memories of your big day as photographic images. Perhaps you’ve spoken to your nephew about taking the photographs at your wedding.

That would enable you to divert some of your budget to other areas of the wedding. This is certainly not the way to go.

A professional wedding photographer should take your photos

The benefits of hiring a professional photographer are far greater than the cost savings you get when you hire an amateur photographer! The photos that are taken must capture those special seconds that mean the most to you.

The benefits of having an expert wedding photographer

Hiring a professional wedding photographer in Glenleigh-Park means you will be left with pictures of the best quality, created using the best skills and equipment available.

When you hire professional photographers for your wedding in Glenleigh-Park, you get privileged access to the best photography knowledge and skills, together with the best equipment and software to produce the best quality pictures possible.

The equipment that wedding photographers use goes far beyond the camera, which is only a part of what it takes to achieve the quality photography you need at your wedding. Camera phones are pretty amazing these days and many people are tempted to try and save money by using them for their wedding photos. They often make a big mistake doing so. Everyone wants beautifully composed and captured photographs of their wedding day. Let me explain a bit more about how a wedding photographer in Glenleigh-Park can add value to your photos and why it’s worth paying for them.

Camera equipment expertise, as well as being able to deal with indoor and outdoor lighting. A photographer won’t be able to do the best job possible if they don’t have the lighting options or lenses they need, or the skill to use them. Professional wedding photographers have more photographic equipment in their armoury and also have more experience using different setups to capture stunning images. Anyone can buy a DSLR camera, but it takes great skill to unlock the potential of the equipment. The type of equipment used is crucial, but just as if not more important, is the person handling the equipment. What you need to get the best wedding photography experience is high end, appropriate camera equipment and a seasoned wedding photography professional who knows how to use it to its full potential. The lighting available at your venue, in the church and outside the church or in any other outdoor setting will vay markedly; it takes skill and appreciation to consistently take great photos in different lighting situations.

The Role of the Photographer

One other very good reason to hire a professional wedding photographer in Glenleigh-Park, instead of using a relative, is that theyíre less likely to become distracted. The role of the professional photographer is very clearly defined, whereas a family member will likely want to get involved in the celebrations where possible.

They wonít miss that crucial loving moment because theyíre eating cake, downing a beer, or chatting with wedding guests. They will be fully concentrating on the job, taking every opportunity to capture the special moments of your wedding day, whilst keeping it very low key.

Wedding shoots also tend to go much better when guests are engaging with paid, professional photographers. When family members are taking control of a family photo session it tends to be taken less seriously.

Skill with Different Styles of Photography

If you have in mind a particular photographic style, then you should hire a professional that is an expert in that area or style. Not many amateurs are familiar with the differences between photojournalistic, fine art, traditional or contemporary styles.

Can an amateur photographer capture photos the way you want them? Quite often, they will not be able to. Take some time to consider what you want and then ensure that the photographer you use is able to capture the style that you want. Go with a professional photographer who can quickly understand what it is you are trying to achieve.

Communication Skills and Timeliness

There are many more reasons that a professional photographer is a better choice than using a relative or enthusiast. You shouldnít underestimate the wealth of experience the professional brings in dealing with the various challenges of the big day.

A professional wedding photographer will be able to communicate effectively and persuasively with guests to ensure they are where they need to be. They will use body language and verbal messages, without imposing on your guests, to run through the necessary formalities whilst enhancing the celebration of your wedding day in Glenleigh-Park. Amateur photographers find it incredibly difficult to maintain the necessary distance, humour, intimacy and support along with effectively communicating to get the perfect shot.

Professional Wedding Photographers Provide More

Thereís no person youíll be spending more time with on your wedding day than your photographer. They will be with you from the preamble shots all the way to the departure.

You wedding photographer has been hired to capture every special moment of the day, whilst staying in the background unnoticed and will do that from start to end. The best wedding photographers are practically invisible, until you need a photo taken. Your photographer will ensure everything is just as it should be, by noticing the small things like wonky ties, or untucked shirts.

They are there to help you get the best pictures and will try and fix anything that is in the way of that goal. Your wedding planner will not be your shadow all day in Glenleigh-Park, but your photographer will. The photographer will ensure that the wedding party are at the right place at the right time and calm everyone throughout any anxious or emotional moments.

A Patient Demeanor

Itís really important that you hire a wedding photographer that puts you at ease. Youíre going to be spending a lot of time with this person on your wedding day. That decision needs to feel right.

The professional photographer will have to be technically skilled, with an added mix of patience, experience and understanding. Your personality needs to be captured through the lens and itís their job to help you to be at ease throughout the day in Glenleigh-Park. A good photographer will remain balanced and relaxed even throughout the many challenges during the day. An expert wedding photographer is flexible and goes with the flow of the event, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

What to Expect When You Hire a Wedding Photographer?

In many cases the day of the wedding is the first time people are in front of a professionalís camera. This can cause anxiety, especially if you are camera shy or tend to look awkward in photographs.

If you have spent a bit of time selecting the right wedding photographer for you, the photographer in Glenleigh-Park will do a few things in order to make the process better.

Do you need a quality, friendly and relaxed professional photographer for your Wedding? Give me call today.

Good Time Keeping and Professional Standards

If you hire people for the right reasons, such as their passion, reputation and having looked at their work, professionalism will be a given. You want your wedding photographer to get on with the guests, to have an excellent attitude towards time keeping and to dress in a suitable manner for your wedding. By arriving early your wedding photographer will be able to scout the location and choose some excellent vantage points, although they will probably have visited your key event locations prior to the big day.

Wedding Rehearsals

It is customary for church wedding ceremonies to have a rehearsal a few days before the big day. Your wedding photographer may well want to attend this wedding rehearsal to speak to the Vicar about where to stand during the ceremony and to find out more about the venue. In the case of a civil ceremony, the wedding photographer will tend to have the discussion with the registrar on the same day as the wedding in Glenleigh-Park.

Wedding Day (The big day)

Your photographer will be there to take pictures of bridal presentations, or at whatever time you have agreed beforehand. You will have his undivided attention for the whole day, but without interrupting in any way. Jeff Woodall photography prides itself on its ability to remain unobtrusive but to always be available for questions and to keep spirits high, ensuring that no beautifully precious moment is lost. Jeff Woodall photographyís ethos is to be very subtle, at staying in the background without interrupting the day, but being available to keep spirits high and answer any difficult questions, making sure that every single memory is captured in digital format.

Your wedding photographer will have a discussion with you sometime after the first dance to find out if you need any more precious moments captured. The backup process will begin once your photographer has completed their work. Jeff Woodall does a full backup of the wedding images, to separate hard drives, which will be kept in a safe place on his photo editing suite, where theyíll remain until all the wedding photographs have been completely edited and delivered to you. We fully understand that your photographs are precious and need to be looked after.

The Wedding Photo Editing Stage

The editing of wedding photographs takes place in the days after the wedding in Glenleigh-Park and is a crucial part of the wedding photography process. The first step is to select the best images that tell the story of your wedding. The selected photographs go through a light touch approach that enhances them subtly.

Jeff Woodall photography provide clients with images that are high resolution. During post processing, the images undergo some minor editing. They are colour balanced and cropped. Style filters may be applied to some of your wedding images to create a specific look and some will be converted to black and white.

The pictures are then prepared and uploaded for viewing, by anyone you want to give access in an online password protected Gallery. They are also provided to you on a presentation USB stick. Instructions on how to access the gallery which you can share with friends and family will be sent to you along with a USB stick containing high resolution images that you can easily share online.

Follow-up client support

We know that you may want to put your photos in wedding photo books or maybe looking for a special wedding album and Jeff Woodall photography will be available to discuss how best to present your images after the wedding. Early on you’ll probably decide if you want a digital photo book album and the different colours and styles that you will require, but it’ll probably take you a while after your wedding ceremony to decide which of the images you are going to want to include.

Your photographer will guide you through how many photos to choose and how best to tell the story and we’ll probably suggest around 80 photos. The design process will then begin, as your photographer works on the album.

Here is a list of things included in a wedding photography package

Here is a summary of what you will typically find in a wedding photography package. Some of the items below are highly important, whereas others you may not even need to talk about. How many events you want photographed.

You need to decide whether you want the photographer at your engagement party and bridal shower, whether the photographer stays for the after-party and of course what time he arrives at the wedding ceremony. This would equate to how many days the photographer provides to you and will be early on in the decision-making process. Once you have decided on dates, you need to get them in the photographer’s diary.

How many hours you want the photographer for the shoot in Glenleigh-Park

Each assignment a photographer takes is normally broken down into a number of hours. I often use this for portrait and events but in terms of weddings, I have simplified the process to a large extent, due to the flexible nature of the day and the fact that each wedding is quite different and difficult to predict in terms of exact timings.

You are probably familiar with photographers offering ëPlatinumí, ëGoldí, ëSilverí and ëBronzeí wedding packages in Glenleigh-Park. What exactly gets delivered becomes complicated, especially in those cases where additional options are added to these package deals. I find it works better to have a set price for a full day’s coverage. Iím not a clock watcher and won’t mind doing an extra hour or so. We donít want to bill you an extra hour or two after the wedding because it didn’t go exactly to schedule and the package you pay for didn’t have enough hours. If your wedding destination is a long way away, weíll need to negotiate expenses for accommodation, flights, fuel and food.

Wedding photography Services List

Below is a summary list of wedding photography services :

Different Styles and How They’re Different

Fine Art Photography

Fine art photographers normally steer clear of too many traditional shots, in the same way that photojournalistic photographers do. Rather, their pictures are captured through an artistic appreciation of events, elements and people, accented with the use of stunning lighting. The Fine Art photographer in Glenleigh-Park is adept in the use of black and white photography and at producing less candid, beautifully composed photos, full of drama and artistic beauty.

Vintage Style Photography

The diversity and popularity of vintage photo filters has helped to drive this style of photography. More and more weddings are seeing photographers using a vintage photography style. With vintage images there is certainly a timeless quality that can stir nostalgic emotion, which may be the cause of such an increase in the appeal of this artistic style. Vintage photography done well in Glenleigh-Park, transforms ordinary images into artistic work of art using colour filters and various props and lighting tricks.

Traditional or Classical

With traditional or classical photography, nearly every picture is considered to be a posed portrait, even those moments that may appear to be more spontaneous. This won’t make the photograph appear forced or posed, but it’s likely that few spontaneous ëaction shotsí will be included in the mix. The wedding ceremony will be captured with the aim of taking pictures that are artistic and functional, but perhaps driven less by drama or emotion.

Photojournalistic or Reportage

Photojournalism photography focuses on the actual moments that happen, rather than staging them. As always, the necessary formal shots will be taken, as well as a number of spontaneous happy shots group shots during the day. Photographers with a photojournalistic style will shy away from orchestrating too many moments during the day, except those formal group shots, or bride and groom images they need to take. They prefer to record close-ups of the bride, groom and wedding guests and really document the dayís actual emotions and feelings.

Black and White (Monochrome)

This style is excellent for timeless, classical, emotion-packed photographs. Although many clients prefer colour photographs, a large number also appreciate the way that removing colour can enhance the mood captured in images. It’s all about preference. Some people really don’t like monochrome images, but black and white photographs can tend to enhance the feeling of atmosphere when done well, helping to focus attention on the subjects of the images. The extra contrast of black and monochrome images can really evoke a certain atmosphere that colour sometimes simply cannot.

Colour Popped and HDR Techniques

This aspect of photography employs techniques that require attention to detail in both the shooting, as well as the final processing. The photographer that uses HDR and colour popped techniques will use them sparingly, only with the right images, to maximise the impact of those colour popped or high dynamic scenes.
