Every wedding day deserves photographs that are captured skillfully, in the style of your choosing. Let’s delve deeper into what a professional wedding photographer in The-Common can bring to your wedding day and how they add value.

Camera equipment expertise, as well as being able to deal with indoor and outdoor lighting. The Role of the Photographer

A professional wedding photographer in The-Common is far less likely to be distracted by situations of the day than a family member or relative. The professional photographer wonít be striving to enjoy the day and become part of the celebration, like a family member would want to do.

They wonít miss that precious moment whilst chatting with wedding guests, having a beer or grabbing a slice of cake. Every moment theyíre there, their focus will be on unobtrusively capturing the best possible images that they can of the event.

Something else that is a factor is that wedding guests tend to respect photo opportunities much more when they are gently marshalled by professional photographers. When family members are taking control of a family photo session it tends to be taken less seriously.

Diverse Styles of Photography

In order to get a specific photographic style, you need a professional photographer whose style matches what youíre looking for. Not many amateurs are familiar with the differences between photojournalistic, fine art, traditional or contemporary styles.

Can an amateur really deliver the pictures that are going to inspire you forever? Quite often, they will not be able to. Have a long think about this and make sure your wedding photographerís style is in sync with yours. Choose a professional who can immediately understand your style ideas when you explain them.

Communication and Reliability

There are lots of other reasons to choose a professional wedding photographer rather than choosing a relative, friend or enthusiast to take your photos. Any wedding day has tough moments to overcome, whether it is getting a large group together while meeting a deadline with a photoshoot in session and a professional brings a mass of experience to help deal with this.

A professional photographer will be able to communicate effectively with your guests and keep the photo sessions flowing, by effectively getting people where they need to be. They will use their voice and body language to encourage people to where they need to be, persuasively getting things done and enhancing rather than detracting from the celebration of your special day in The-Common. Amateur photographers, no matter how hard they try, will find it hard to identify the right approach to photo sessions, being distant to a degree, professional, humorous, encouraging and supporting guests through the process, in order to capture those memorable shots.

Professional Wedding Photographers Are a Better Choice

Thereís no person youíll be spending more time with on your wedding day than your photographer. From the shots of you getting ready and preparing to go to church all the way to the moment you leave the wedding venue, the photographer is there.

Your wedding photographer remains with you throughout every special moment of the day, capturing memories and blending into the background. If they know what theyíre doing, you wonít even notice them. Your photographer will ensure everything is just as it should be, by noticing the small things like wonky ties, or untucked shirts.

By fixing any little issues they can help you get better images. Your photographer will be your shadow all day in The-Common, not your wedding planner. Your photographer will calm emotions when they heighten and ensure that people get to the right place at the right time.

A Patient Demeanor

As a wedding couple, you should engage the services of a wedding photographer that helps you feel comfortable. Considering the amount of time this individual is going to be a major part of your wedding day, you need to choose wisely. You donít want to spend all that time second-guessing your decision.

The photographer should have a great mix of patience, empathy and skills of persuasion, as well as technically superb. They need to go with the flow and be able to make your personality shine brightly on your special day in The-Common. Even if things donít go exactly to plan, the wedding photographer will remain in control, calm and measured, as a reassuring presence. An expert wedding photographer will adapt to the needs of the day and remain professional at all times.

What You Can Expect from a Wedding Photographer?

In many cases the day of the wedding is the first time people are in front of a professionalís camera. As well as being anxious about the big day, having a camera pointed at you all day can make you feel even more uncomfortable, especially if you feel that photos donít generally flatter you.

Your wedding photographer should arrive before they need to, so that they can get a feel for the venues and the best places to get the shots that you desire.

The Day Before the Wedding - the Rehearsal

It is customary for church wedding ceremonies to have a rehearsal a few days before the big day. In many cases you photographer will choose to attend this event and to speak to the presiding minister about where they can and cannot stand and what they can and cannot do during ceremony. In the case of a civil ceremony, the wedding photographer will tend to have the discussion with the registrar on the same day as the wedding in The-Common.

The Big Day – the Wedding

Your wedding photographer will tend to arrive to take photos of the bridal presentations, the timings will have been agreed. He will stay with you for the entire day and will mirror you through the day without interrupting. Jeff Woodall photography prides itself on its ability to remain unobtrusive but to always be available for questions and to keep spirits high, ensuring that no beautifully precious moment is lost.

At some point in the night, often after the first dance, your wedding photographer will check with you to find out if thereís anything else you would like to be pictured. In the days after the wedding in The-Common the important editing stage is completed. The first step is to select the best images that tell the story of your wedding. The editing of the digital photographs then begins with a light touch approach that ensures a subtle process of enhancement.

The images that Jeff Woodall photography produce are always beautifully sharp. Some editing work is carried out as required, mainly consisting of colour balancing and cropping where necessary. Jeff Woodall photography will be available for everything else you need; to talk about albums, or the types of bespoke wedding photo books that can be designed for you. If you have already decided on a digital photo book album and know the style choices you want to go for, it’ll probably still take you a little while after the wedding to decide on which images to include.

You’ll probably be asked to pick your favorite 80 photographs that depict the story of your day and you can ask your photographer any questions to guide you on this. Your photographer then begins the design work to create your stunning album.

Here is a list of things included in a wedding photography package

Below is a summary list of what a wedding photography package normally includes. Some of the items are self-explanatory and take care of themselves, whereas others are very important. Which events the photographer should attend.

You need to decide whether you want the photographer at your engagement party and bridal shower, whether the photographer stays for the after-party and of course what time he arrives at the wedding ceremony. This will be early on in the decision-making process and will be divided into a number of days that you need the photographer. Once you have decided on dates, you need to get them in the photographer’s diary.

How many hours you want the photographer for the shoot in The-Common

Generally, each assignment the photographer takes will be priced up largely based on the anticipated hours it will take. At Jeff Woodall photography this is normally the way we price up events and portraits, but with weddings the process has been simplified because we understand that each day is completely different, timings are personal and we need to be flexible to capture the flow of your wedding events.

Many photographers (and I used to) offer a range of packages in The-Common, such as ëPlatinumí, ëGoldí, ëSilveríand ëBronzeí. It all gets quite complicated, especially if different photo album packages are also added to the mix. I find it works better to have a set price for a full day’s coverage. Obviously, this is within reason, but I tend to arrive well early to get shots of getting ready and to remain long after the first dance, because there is still additional photographic value to be had. Travelling to and accommodation at weddings. For wedding ceremonies that are a long way away and need significant travel or even flights, there would be some negotiation required over accommodation, fuel, flights, food and refreshments.

What are the differences between all these different styles?

Fine Art Photography

Photojournalistic photographers will tend not to take so many traditional shots and nor do fine art photographers. Rather, they photograph with an appreciation for the artistic side of people, the lighting options and the overall drama of the scene. The Fine Art photographer in The-Common prefers to pack their photos with art and drama, often using black and white as a filter.

Vintage Style Photography

Vintage photography is a style that has evolved and become increasingly more popular of late, helped by the emergence of vintage style filters. More and more couples are choosing vintage wedding photography as their wedding style for their photographs. Something about old, timeless photographs appeals to people, maybe itís the feeling of nostalgia which this style of photography evokes. Vintage photography in The-Common is regarded as almost an art form, where the ordinary is transformed into stunning evocative images using colour filters and specialist lighting.

Traditional or Classical

With traditional or classical photography, details of shots are considered staged, even those that you may think look spontaneous. With traditional or classical wedding photography, it’s unlikely that you’ll get lots of action and movement in photos, but the images shouldnít feel unnaturally forced either. The goal of photographers who prefer the traditional style is to take pictures that reflect the artistry and dignity of the wedding ceremony, with stunning lighting techniques.

Photojournalistic or Reportage

Photojournalism looks to record moments on camera, rather than orchestrating specific staged shots. With this type of shot you will get all of the expected group and formal shots, as well as lots more spontaneous images as well as the normal ësmile for the cameraí roundups of guests throughout the day. The photo journalistic photographer is all about immortalizing the spontaneous reactions and emotions of the day as they happen, rather than orchestrating and staging their images.

Black and White (Monochrome)

With black-and-white photographs you get a timeless and classical feel to images. Many clients appreciate how the nostalgia and mood of images can be enhanced by removing colour. You need to decide what you like. Not everyone prefers monochrome images, but there’s no doubt that photographs can be made more compelling by emphasising areas of focus and the composition with this method. Black and white images can be effective in portraying an atmospheric, or nostalgic and timeless feel, that is sometimes elusive in the colour version.

Colour Popped and HDR Techniques

This area of photography requires skill in techniques that involve shooting with a lot of attention to detail and the post processing becomes a little more complex too. The users of HDR and colour popped photography techniques, carefully choose the scenes they shoot in order to create images that are striking, with vibrant colours which draw the viewersí attention to a particular area of the image.
