Here Are the Reasons Why the Wedding Photography Is Vital

Hiring a wedding photographer might not be at the top of your list when it comes to planning for your big day in West-Thorney.

Your wedding photography does however, deserve some of your time. It will make things much easier for you if you set a budget for your wedding images and get the photographer booked in West-Thorney up for your special day in good time. It is vitally important that you hire a wedding photographer you can trust to capture the day with skill and expertise. Your wedding photo book will be revisited countless times over the years with your friends, your children and even perhaps your future grandchildren.

You’ll turn to your wedding photos many times in the future, recapturing the precious memories of that special day. The day after your wedding in West-Thorney, your wedding dress will be packed away, your shoes boxed up, the flowers will wither and you’ll be finishing off the last crumbs of the wedding cake. but your wedding photographs will forever be yours to share on social media, look at during those quiet moments and enjoy with your loved ones, so take them seriously and make sure that you commission talented professionals!

Why engage a wedding photographer for your big day?

If your wedding is coming up soon then you have probably planned most of the necessities. You’ve booked your caterer, cake and the venue. You have chosen your wedding theme colours, selected your flowers and your wedding gown is hung up and ready to go.

Your mind is now turning to how you are going to capture the big day photographically. Perhaps you are considering the option of asking a relative to bring their amateur photography skills to your wedding.

The money you save on the photographs could be used to cover other wedding expenses. This is certainly not the way to go.

A professional wedding photographer is likely to achieve a much higher quality result

The savings you make by using an amateur photographer are not worth the risk you are taking of being left with poor quality images to look back on. The photos that are taken must capture those special seconds that mean the most to you.

Some of the key benefits of professional wedding photography

When you hire a specialist wedding photographer in West-Thorney, the images you are presented with at the end will be of the highest quality and taken with the best photography equipment available.

Using their knowledge and skills, together with camera and equipment of superior technology and editing with the latest software, your wedding photographer in West-Thorney will be able to produce beautiful and unique images that will make your day..

The equipment that wedding photographers use goes far beyond the camera, which is only a part of what it takes to achieve the quality photography you need at your wedding. But for many, who perceive that smartphone cameras are amazing, it is really tempting to try and cut costs on your wedding photography. They often make a big mistake doing so. We know everyone wants the best possible photos they can get for their wedding. I’ll explain some of these benefits in greater detail, to help you understand the value in paying a professional wedding photographer for the day in West-Thorney.

Camera equipment expertise and knowledge, together with many other elements such as weather and lighting variations. A photographer is only as good as the lenses they use and the skills they possess and a full appreciation of lighting. A professional wedding photographer is preferred because of their skill, expertise and also the equipment they use. Although DSLR cameras are available to anyone, it takes experience and proficiency to capture the best possible photos and get the most out of any camera. The types of camera equipment being utilised is important, but just as important is the skill of the photographer that is using them. The ideal situation is that you have an expert photographer who can use top of the range equipment to its full potential. This includes choosing the right equipment and camera settings for indoor and outdoor shots at the venue and the changing conditions at both.

The Photographerís Role

One other very good reason to hire a professional wedding photographer in West-Thorney, instead of using a relative, is that theyíre less likely to become distracted. A professional photographer wonít be looking to get involved with the celebrations like a family member would.

They wonít miss that precious moment whilst chatting with wedding guests, having a beer or grabbing a slice of cake. Their focus will be 100% on getting every possible moment captured on camera.

Another thing to consider is that guests are more likely to respect photoshoots when theyíre aware that the photographers are paid professionals. Photoshoots taken by a relative tend to be less organised and taken less seriously than those arranged by professionals.

Skill with Different Styles of Photography

If you want a specific style of photography, you should hire a professional photographer whose style matches yours. Not many amateurs are familiar with the differences between photojournalistic, fine art, traditional or contemporary styles.

Are you certain that theyíre going to be able to provide you with the photos that you dream of? In many cases, they will not have the skills to do so. Take some time to consider what you want and then ensure that the photographer you use is able to capture the style that you want. Once you have in mind what you want to achieve, hire a professional who gets it.

A Great Communicator and Reliable, too

There are many more reasons that a professional photographer is a better choice than using a relative or enthusiast. Itís easy to underestimate the degree of experience a professional brings to the day and how they can contribute to it going smoothly, in spite of the various inevitable challenges.

A professional will be able to carry the wedding party along and subtly communicate where your guests need to be. They have the experience to do so using body language, cues and verbally, without obstructing your guests, or spoiling the celebration of your big day in West-Thorney. Maintaining a balance between holding a distance as a photographer but getting involved to encourage people is a very difficult balance to strike and very few amateurs have the experience to do it.

If You Want More, Use Professional Wedding Photographers

The wedding photographer is around all day, spending time with you on your wedding day. They will photograph you getting ready and spending time before the event and perhaps be around all the way until you leave the venue.

Your wedding photographer is always near you, having been engaged to capture the emotion and style of your day in its entirety. Good wedding photographers will only be noticed when they need to organise a photo session. Your photographer will ensure everything is just as it should be, by noticing the small things like wonky ties, or untucked shirts.

They are there to help you get the best pictures and will try and fix anything that is in the way of that goal. The planner of your wedding will be with you for far less of the day in West-Thorney than your photographer will. The photographer will help the wedding party be where they need to be, when they need to be and to be as calm as they should be.

A Patient Demeanor

As a wedding couple, you should engage the services of a wedding photographer that helps you feel comfortable. This is a person you are going to be around a great deal on one of the most special days of your life. You want that decision to feel right at every moment of the day.

The professional photographer you choose should have an excellent skill set; great technically, the patience of a saint, the persuasive skills of a sales person and the empathetic and emotional skills of a counsellor. They need to flow through the day in West-Thorney with you, capturing the best of your personality through the lens. An experienced professional will recognise that things rarely go exactly according to plan and will remain calm and effective throughout. A good wedding photographer will remain professional at all times and will be flexible, flowing and adapting to changing circumstances.

What to Expect from Your Wedding Photographer?

Often people have never been in front of a professional camera before their wedding day. This can be a source of anxiety and worry, especially for those that donít like the way they look in photographs.

Having invested some time to choose the right wedding photographer, you can be assured that they will do certain things to make the process less stressful.

Do you need a quality, friendly and relaxed professional photographer for your Wedding? Give me call today.

Good Time Keeping and Professional Standards

If you hire people for the right reasons, such as their passion, reputation and having looked at their work, professionalism will be a given. You want your wedding photographer to get on with the guests, to have an excellent attitude towards time keeping and to dress in a suitable manner for your wedding. Your photographer should get to your wedding venues earlier than the guests so that they can get a feel for the environment; they will probably have been to some of the venues already in order to understand the limitations and possibilities.

Rehearsing for the Wedding Day (The day before)

If you plan to have a church ceremony, then itís customary to have a rehearsal a day or a week before. Your wedding photographer may well want to attend this wedding rehearsal to speak to the Vicar about where to stand during the ceremony and to find out more about the venue. With civil ceremonies, the photographers will normally have a discussion with the registrar prior to the wedding starting in West-Thorney.

The Big Day – the Wedding

Your wedding photographer will tend to arrive to take photos of the bridal presentations, the timings will have been agreed. He wonít interrupt at any point during the day but will be with you throughout. Jeff Woodall photographyís ethos is to be very subtle, at staying in the background without interrupting the day, but being available to keep spirits high and answer any difficult questions, making sure that every single memory is captured in digital format. Itís crucial to the team at Jeff Woodall photography that every precious memory is captured on camera and that we remain unobtrusive, so the day can play out naturally; we are of course available for any questions and we strive to raise the spirits of everyone in the party.

At a certain time in the evening, usually after the first dance, your photographer will approach you to see if thereís anything else you would like him to capture. If you are satisfied that your photographer has captured the day, he will begin the process of backing up all of the photos. Jeff Woodall does a full backup of the wedding images, to separate hard drives, which will be kept in a safe place on his photo editing suite, where theyíll remain until all the wedding photographs have been completely edited and delivered to you. We treat your photographs as the precious digital data that they are.

The Editing of Wedding Photographs

Editing the images is an important part of preparing your wedding photography package, completed in the days after the wedding event in West-Thorney. To tell the story of the wedding day the pictures need to capture the moments and so the first stage is going through all the photos and picking the best ones. The editing of the digital photographs then begins with a light touch approach that ensures a subtle process of enhancement.

Jeff Woodall photography only use beautifully sharp images. The pictures are cropped as necessary and the colours are balanced. To achieve other effects, subtle style filters may be applied to some of your wedding images and some may be converted to monochrome.

The pictures are then prepared and uploaded for viewing, by anyone you want to give access in an online password protected Gallery. They are also provided to you on a presentation USB stick. Instructions on how to access the gallery which you can share with friends and family will be sent to you along with a USB stick containing high resolution images that you can easily share online.

Client support - follow-up

Jeff Woodall photography will always be on hand, accessible to talk about wedding photo album options and the design of wedding photo books if you so require them. If you have already decided on a digital photo book album and know the style choices you want to go for, it’ll probably still take you a little while after the wedding to decide on which images to include.

You’ll probably be asked to pick your favorite 80 photographs that depict the story of your day and you can ask your photographer any questions to guide you on this. Your photographer then begins the design work to create your stunning album.

Here is a list of things included in a wedding photography package

To find out more about what wedding packages normally include. Some of the items you’ll need to make some careful decisions about, whereas others take care of themselves. The number of wedding events you want photos from.

You need to decide whether you want the photographer at your engagement party and bridal shower, whether the photographer stays for the after-party and of course what time he arrives at the wedding ceremony. Some of the events the photographer will almost certainly be at, include the wedding ceremony and the after party, but you need to decide whether he attends the bridal shower, the engagement party and how long he stays on during the after party. Following discussion and decisions you need to get the dates organised and communicate them to the photographer.

Number of hours for the shoot in West-Thorney

Each assignment a photographer takes is normally broken down into a number of hours. Each wedding is individual, with exact timings that differ and ad hoc things that happened during the day and so we work a little differently on wedding packages in order to remain flexible.

I used to offer a variety of wedding packages in West-Thorney, just as many photographers still do, such as ëPlatinumí, ëGoldí, ëSilverí and ëBronzeí. It all gets quite complicated, especially if different photo album packages are also added to the mix. I now prefer to work on a fixed price for the full day’s coverage. Iím yours for the day and won’t mind doing the odd extra hour and won’t be clock-watching. Travelling to and accommodation at weddings. For wedding ceremonies that involves travelling, the travel expenses for flights, fuel, food, refreshments and accommodation would need to be subject to negotiation with the client.

Wedding photography Services List

Below is a summary list of wedding photography services :

How Wedding Styles Really Differ

Fine Art Photography

Photographers that concentrate on a fine art style, don’t usually take traditional shots, just as photojournalistic photographers donít. Events, people and elements are photographed with a more artistic approach, with the use of various lighting techniques. Fine Art photographers in West-Thorney have a flair for the dramatic and always looking for the artistic side when composing and staging their photos, often using different filters, including black and white.

Vintage Style Photography

Vintage photo filters have become quite popular over the last decade and has resulted in more demand for this style of photography. More and more couples are choosing vintage wedding photography as their wedding style for their photographs. Something about old, timeless photographs appeals to people, maybe itís the feeling of nostalgia which this style of photography evokes. Vintage photography in West-Thorney is regarded as almost an art form, where the ordinary is transformed into stunning evocative images using colour filters and specialist lighting.

Traditional or Classical

Seemingly spontaneous and ad hoc moments often tend to actually be taken as posed portraits with traditional or classical photography. Although the photographs won’t feel overly posed or artificial, you probably won’t get many action shots in the wedding album. The aim of traditional photography is to capture moments with dignity and artistry, using many posed shots, including many formal images, under a range of lighting options.

Photojournalistic or Reportage

Photojournalism looks to record moments on camera, rather than orchestrating specific staged shots. With this type of photography, you’ll get the happy shots of guests together during the day, as well as more spontaneous and candid photos; the obligatory group shots and the formal bride and groom photos will of course also be included. Photojournalistic photographers prefer to capture spontaneous emotions and reactions, often by the use of close ups and candid techniques, they have a general philosophy of freezing that authentic moment in time, rather than creating orchestrated poses and scenes.

Black and White (Monochrome)

This style is excellent for timeless, classical, emotion-packed photographs. Black-and-white photos are appreciated by many for their ability to enhance the mood and atmosphere of the scene being depicted. It’s all about preference. Not everyone prefers monochrome images, but there’s no doubt that photographs can be made more compelling by emphasising areas of focus and the composition with this method. Sometimes colour can fail to portray the atmosphere of a photo, where monochrome techniques can really bring it to life.

Colour Popped and HDR Techniques

When shooting photographs and using this photo technique, each shot is rather complex with lots of elements to consider and the editing process is equally detailed. The users of HDR and colour popped photography techniques, carefully choose the scenes they shoot in order to create images that are striking, with vibrant colours which draw the viewersí attention to a particular area of the image.
