The Importance of Wedding Photography.

When planning your wedding event in Street-End, finding time to hire a photographer may initially be low on your priority list.

You should invest some time in planning your wedding photography though. You need to set a budget that is sufficient for the task and get your photographer booked in Street-End up as far in advance as possible. There are potentially so many precious moments during any wedding and so you need a wedding photographer who has the talent to both see and capture those moments. That takes a great deal of skill and experience. Your wedding album will tell a story that you can share with your family and your friends and even your future grandchildren.

Your wedding photographs will take on a special place in your heart, as they have the power to resurrect those happy memories and feelings of that special day. Your cake will have been eaten, the flowers gone and your wedding dress and shoes packed away after the wedding in Street-End. but you will have your wedding photographs forever and you will be looking over them and sharing them for years to come, so do ensure that you place enough importance on having them done properly!

Why engage a wedding photographer for your big day?

If your wedding day is just around the corner, then you have probably planned most of what you need to plan. Catering for the event is in hand, the wedding cake is chosen and the wedding venue is all booked. You’ve tried on and love your wedding dress and have chosen table decorations and flowers.

The wedding photographs are next on the list. Perhaps you are considering the option of asking a relative to bring their amateur photography skills to your wedding.

It wouldn’t cost you anything and you can save yourself some money to budget for other things. This is a route that has been tried by many, but in truth has worked for very few.

A professional wedding photographer should take your photos

The savings you make by using an amateur photographer are not worth the risk you are taking of being left with poor quality images to look back on. Remember, the glances, the smiles and the connections that happen at a wedding are subtle and to capture them photographically is a skill.

The benefits of having a professional wedding photographer

When you hire a specialist wedding photographer in Street-End, the images you are presented with at the end will be of the highest quality and taken with the best photography equipment available.

The professional wedding photographer you hire in Street-End will be able to capture fantastic images with their skill, state-of-the-art cameras and equipment and edited to a superb standard using the latest software.

The equipment such as cameras, are just a part of what it takes to capture great wedding photographs. The advent of camera phones has for some become a tempting way to try and save money on wedding photography. This might be a huge mistake. Every wedding day deserves photographs that are captured skillfully, in the style of your choosing. We’ll take a more in depth look now at what you get when you hire a professional wedding photographer in Street-End, which adds that extra value and makes it worth your while.

Camera equipment expertise, as well as being able to deal with indoor and outdoor lighting. A photographer won’t be able to do the best job possible if they don’t have the lighting options or lenses they need, or the skill to use them. Professional wedding photographers tend to have much better equipment and much more experience in using a diverse range of setups. Anyone can buy a DSLR camera, but it takes great skill to unlock the potential of the equipment. The type of equipment used is crucial, but just as if not more important, is the person handling the equipment. In order to get your dream photos, you need high end camera equipment and a wedding photographer with the experience, talent and knowledge to use it appropriately to its full potential. This includes various photographic lighting options, which might be necessary depending on the degree of ambient light available due to the weather conditions or the available light at the chosen venues.

The Photographerís Role

Another reason to hire a professional wedding photographer in Street-End, rather than trusting a family member or a friend with the task, is it they will be less distracted. The professional photographer wonít be striving to enjoy the day and become part of the celebration, like a family member would want to do.

They wonít miss important shots while eating a slice of cake, drinking alcohol or chit chatting with relatives. They will be fully concentrating on the job, taking every opportunity to capture the special moments of your wedding day, whilst keeping it very low key.

Something else that is a factor is that wedding guests tend to respect photo opportunities much more when they are gently marshalled by professional photographers. If a relative is trying to organise a photo session, it might end up far less organised than if a professional were doing it.

The Photography Style

If you have in mind a particular photographic style, then you should hire a professional that is an expert in that area or style. If you want to ask an amateur photographer, the chances are that theyíre not familiar with the differences between traditional, contemporary, fine art, or photojournalistic styles.

Can they deliver what you want the way you want it? In most cases, they will fall short. Have a long think about this and make sure your wedding photographerís style is in sync with yours. Choose a professional who can immediately understand your style ideas when you explain them.

A Great Communicator and Reliable, too

There are lots of other reasons to choose a professional wedding photographer rather than choosing a relative, friend or enthusiast to take your photos. Itís easy to understate how a professional photographer can contribute to the day; blending into the background when necessary and getting involved to smooth the schedule and push things along when time is getting tight.

A professional photographer will be able to communicate effectively with your guests and keep the photo sessions flowing, by effectively getting people where they need to be. They will use their voice and body language to encourage people to where they need to be, persuasively getting things done and enhancing rather than detracting from the celebration of your special day in Street-End. Amateur photographers find it incredibly difficult to maintain the necessary distance, humour, intimacy and support along with effectively communicating to get the perfect shot.

Professional Wedding Photographers Provide More

There arenít many people that you will spend more time on your wedding day than your wedding photographer. They will photograph you getting ready and spending time before the event and perhaps be around all the way until you leave the venue.

You wedding photographer has been hired to capture every special moment of the day, whilst staying in the background unnoticed and will do that from start to end. The best wedding photographers are practically invisible, until you need a photo taken. Your photographer will ensure every shot is perfect and no detail is amiss, such as a lipstick stain on the teeth, or button holes that are wonky.

They will be there to inform you of this and help you try to fix it. Your wedding planner will not be your shadow all day in Street-End, but your photographer will. The experience of the photographer will help to ensure that the wedding party know where they are going and when and help to alleviate any anxiety or emotions as they arise.

Patience

Every wedding couple needs to hire a photographer that they feel comfortable around. The amount of time youíre going to spend with this person on your special day really is significant. You want to be happy that you made the right decision.

The professional photographer you choose should have an excellent skill set; great technically, the patience of a saint, the persuasive skills of a sales person and the empathetic and emotional skills of a counsellor. They need to flow through the day in Street-End with you, capturing the best of your personality through the lens. A professional will remain calm and in control even when things donít always go exactly to plan. An expert wedding photographer will adapt to the needs of the day and remain professional at all times.

What You Can Expect from a Wedding Photographer?

Often people have never been in front of a professional camera before their wedding day. This can cause anxiety, especially if you are camera shy or tend to look awkward in photographs.

Having spent some time considering the best professional wedding photographer in Street-End to match the styles you want, you can now rest assured that they will do certain things to make the process run smoothly.

Do you need a quality, friendly and relaxed professional photographer for your Wedding? Give me call today.

Promptness and Professionalism

You can be reassured that the photographer will be professional by researching their reputation, their previous work and their passion for what they do. Your photographer should be friendly, polite, punctual and appropriately dressed for the event. By arriving early your wedding photographer will be able to scout the location and choose some excellent vantage points, although they will probably have visited your key event locations prior to the big day.

Wedding Rehearsals

Church wedding ceremonies normally have the custom of a wedding rehearsal a day or two before the wedding. The wedding photographer ask to come to the wedding day rehearsal to scout the location and to find out from the Vicar where they should be standing throughout the service. The registrar will normally be consulted on the day of the wedding with civil ceremonies, in order for the wedding photographer to get the information they need.

The Day Arrives – the Wedding

Your wedding photographer will tend to arrive to take photos of the bridal presentations, the timings will have been agreed. He will remain with you for the whole day, without interrupting, obstructing or in any way affecting the flow of the day. Jeff Woodall photographyís ethos is to be very subtle, at staying in the background without interrupting the day, but being available to keep spirits high and answer any difficult questions, making sure that every single memory is captured in digital format. Itís crucial to the team at Jeff Woodall photography that every precious memory is captured on camera and that we remain unobtrusive, so the day can play out naturally; we are of course available for any questions and we strive to raise the spirits of everyone in the party.

At a certain time in the evening, usually after the first dance, your photographer will approach you to see if thereís anything else you would like him to capture. If you are satisfied that your photographer has captured the day, he will begin the process of backing up all of the photos. Jeff Woodall photography backs up all wedding pictures captured on the day to separate hard drives and then keeps them safe in a permanent backup until the end of the editing stage and provided to you. We never underestimate the value of your photographs.

The Editing of Wedding Photographs

Editing is a large part of the work and will be done in the days following the wedding in Street-End. The photographs need to tell the story of the wedding day and so the first stage is going through all the pictures and selecting the best ones. The editing of the digital photographs then begins with a light touch approach that ensures a subtle process of enhancement.

The images provided to clients by Jeff Woodall photography are always high resolution. Some editing work is carried out as required, mainly consisting of colour balancing and cropping where necessary. Various effects can be achieved during the post processing of your images, including monochrome conversions.

Once through the editing process, the images are exported to both USB and an online password protected gallery, for viewing by everyone that you want to give access. Weíll provide you with all the instructions you need for how to access the online gallery and how to share it with your family and friends and we’ll also send you the USB stick with easy to use instructions on how to share your photos online.

After care

We know that you may want to put your photos in wedding photo books or maybe looking for a special wedding album and Jeff Woodall photography will be available to discuss how best to present your images after the wedding. It can take some time after the wedding ceremony to decide on which pictures to include in your digital photo book album, even if you have already decided on colours, styles and designs.

You’ll probably be asked to pick your favorite 80 photographs that depict the story of your day and you can ask your photographer any questions to guide you on this. The design process will then begin, as your photographer works on the album.

How many hours of shooting in Street-End

Generally, a photographer will use time as one of the main methods to price an assignment. Although we tend to use this pricing method for most events and for portrait shoots, the process has been simplified for our wedding packages, to fit the scheduling needs for each wedding and ensure that we remain flexible enough to go with the flow of your day.

You are probably familiar with photographers offering ëPlatinumí, ëGoldí, ëSilverí and ëBronzeí wedding packages in Street-End. When you start adding extras to these packages it all becomes a bit of a logistical nightmare to understand or work out the overall price. With me you get a full day’s coverage for a set price. Iím not a clock watcher and won’t mind doing an extra hour or so. We want pricing to be clear and transparent and don’t want to have to bill you for extra hours after the event, because things ran on and your ëSilverí package didn’t cover it. If there is travel involved to the wedding ceremony there would need to be some negotiation over the expenses involved in terms of accommodation, fuel or flights, food and refreshments.

Wedding photography Services List

Below is a summary list of wedding photography services :

How Wedding Styles Really Differ

Fine Art Photography

Just as with photography of a photojournalistic style, fine art photographers don’t normally take that many shots that are of a traditional nature. They prefer to take an artistic view and capture elements, events and people with that mindset, always looking for dramatic lighting and backgrounds. The Fine Art photographer in Street-End prefers to pack their photos with art and drama, often using black and white as a filter.

Vintage Style Photography

Vintage image filters have become very popular and so this style of photography has quickly evolved. The number of weddings that are being photographed with a vintage wedding theme in mind, seems to be steadily growing. Something about old, timeless photographs appeals to people, maybe itís the feeling of nostalgia which this style of photography evokes. Vintage photography in Street-End is regarded as almost an art form, where the ordinary is transformed into stunning evocative images using colour filters and specialist lighting.

Traditional or Classical

With traditional or classical photography, nearly every picture is considered to be a posed portrait, even those moments that may appear to be more spontaneous. With this style of photography, you are likely to get more static images than spontaneous flowing, action shots, although the images you get won’t feel overly staged. Traditional photographers are likely to want to record of the formalities of the wedding ceremony and to portray the dignity and meaning of the ceremony, with subtle lighting.

Photojournalistic or Reportage

This style of photography is less about orchestrating and creating moments to capture on camera, than reporting those special moments of the day. The formal shots you would expect at every wedding, will be captured, as well as group and individual ëgrip and griní wedding guest shots. The photo journalistic photographer is all about immortalizing the spontaneous reactions and emotions of the day as they happen, rather than orchestrating and staging their images.

Black and White (Monochrome)

Black and White photographs often create a timeless and classic look. Although many clients prefer colour photographs, a large number also appreciate the way that removing colour can enhance the mood captured in images. It’s all about preference. Some people really don’t like monochrome images, but black and white photographs can tend to enhance the feeling of atmosphere when done well, helping to focus attention on the subjects of the images. Sometimes colour can fail to portray the atmosphere of a photo, where monochrome techniques can really bring it to life.

Colour Popped and HDR Techniques

When shooting photographs and using this photo technique, each shot is rather complex with lots of elements to consider and the editing process is equally detailed. The photographer chooses the appropriate moment with which to use these techniques, finally skillfully uses the right processing software to produce quality images with colours that pop and emphasises particular areas of a scene.
