What a fabulous day out at Firle Place, where the 2019 World Sleddog Association Dryland World championships was hosted over the weekend. Unfortunately the weather was less than ideal, having had recent downpours, so the ground was an absolute mud bath. That didn’t deter the competitors one little bit though. There were over 200 competitors from around the world. The course followed a 5km route around the wonderful rural setting of Firle Place in the Sussex Countryside. There were one, two three and up to eight dog formats, pulling a variety of cycles, scooters, three wheelers and even runners!
A superb day out, with a Xmas market, beer tents, food stalls, a brass band, Santa’s Grotto and plenty for the kids to see and do. There was also an area where you could meet the Huskies.
